Panda House | Centennial — Restaurant in Ancón

I am in awe at the food, service and facility. I had a dish with fried rice, thick noodles and shrimp. The amount of shrimp was half of the entire dish. Very satisfying and reasonably priced. The seating area is modern, large with a mix of small to large tables.

This is a cafeteria style establishment that serves some of the most popular Chinese options. When thinking of cafeteria food, one has to wonder if it is comparable to that of a made-to-order restaurant. The answer is a resounding yes. The food here is excellent. So is the service we received as well as the aesthetics of the place.

The sheer size of it, along with an accompanying bakery as well as an (apparently) independent restaurant on the second floor is brilliant. A space so large, with excellent service, modern facility where the main attraction is supplemented with two other businesses. Unusually tall ceiling with lots of natural light. There is a spirit of ambition here.

We tried to go there 3 times but all failed. We didn't find parking the first 2 times but for some reason the car park attender never indicated to is there were more parking below. We managed to find a space to park the 3rd time but the inside of the restaurant looked like a huge canteen. Self service.... Why would we go for luke warm self service dimsum? And things didn't look steaming hot like how dim sum should be served. Hot! So we left. Therefore we never tried their food or service to comment. Basically lacking what a real dimsum place should be... Steaming hot trays with good smelling food. Self...

Love the Chinese food here! What I love the most is that you can pick how would you like to set up your plate. It's not like the typical Chinese restaurant where you order something from the menu "as is". Here you get to choose which veggies or not to eat and which protein options to pick. They always have chicken pops, bites, whatever you want to call them, with some sauce; fish, shrimps, pork all with different recipes and flavors. You should visit and taste...
