This place has been here for so many years it seems like forever - 25 years at least, maybe more. And I just can't understand it. It's nice inside, large dining room, high ceilings, clean, spacious. Nicely appointed, wall decor, tableclothes, comfortable chairs. The owners do appear to take a keen interest in the restaurant. I've never seen it crowded though, maybe that's a sign. Ordinarily there are only a handful of clients and plenty of tables available, even during peak hours in my experience. Maybe Its just me. Maybe I'm the only one who's had bad luck here. Im not sure, but it seems that every time I've been to this restaurant something new happens that gives me pause. First off, the name in and of itself (Seafood & Steakhouse) sheds no light at all on the fact that it's actually a Chinese restaurant, cut 'n dried. And if you haven't already, compare the foto on Google Maps to the actual restaurant. You'll undoubtedly notice the difference - and it's not that it's an old foto. The worst gastronomic experience I've had here so far is when I found a gecko in my veggies. Not a small one mind you, a pretty good sized gecko - probably the size of my middle finger, literally. It'd been stir fried right along with the veggies I'd ordered. Granted, a lil extra protein never hurts, but a gecko? Really? When I brought it to the attention of the server he did not apologize (in typical Panamanian fashion) nor did he offer to refund the cost of the plate (both of which together would have been the right thing to do). He did however offer to take the plate from in front of me and carry it off to the kitchen. Without having given me any clues as to what his intentions were, he returned maybe a minute later with what appeared to me to be the same plate of food he'd taken away only seconds before, minus the gecko. I think all he did was pick it out and bring the same serving back to me. I don't eat here often, and I can foresee that it will be even less often in the future. Again, maybe it's just my bad luck at this place. Hopefully your experience will...
