El Mesón Pintao — Restaurant in El Valle

My family and I came to El Valle to visit the waterfalls and stayed for lunch. We came to this restaurant because of the smell from the street and the food had a really good smell of homecooking . My wife ordered the ropa vieja, I ordered the sweet and sour pork chop, my grandma got the sancocho, my dad got the Panamanian burger and my mom got the pollo guisado. We all finished all the food on our plates and will keep this place in mind to eat at for the next time we visit el Valle! Very good...

We came here for lunch on April 2 2025 while on a day trip from San Carlos. Absolutely wonderful lunch for our family of four, including our 9 and 11 year old kids. Our picky 9 year old son devoured the delicious cheese pizza and the wings with BBQ sauce. Both kids got hot chocolate with marshmallows. The adults highly recommend the patacones en canasta appetizer. We loved the generous Pinot Grigio pours. And we got some great advice on the Pozo Azul waterfall,...

We had pizza here and it was so good that we came back a second time. I had more pizza and my wife had fish in patacones (fried plantain) that was delicious. The staff was friendly and everything was clean. The cocktails were not good, however, and the margarita I had came entirely from a bottled mix, not made to order.
