There was a plentiful menu. However, there was limited availability. We got the mojejitas for appetizer and chicken wings. We ordered the platter for 6 for dinner. The meat was ok, nothing that needs a rave review. The drink was ok, I was expecting better mixology choices. There is a 5% service charge they do not tell you about in the beginning. Something about giving us water. I wasn’t too pleased to see this on the bill. The waiter was quick to point out that it was not part of the tip. While we were there, the lights in the area went out. There was no extra perk or dessert for the inconvenience. They had the flood lights on and went around giving everyone a candle. If you wanted to leave they would do a paper version of a credit charge or you had to pay in cash. The food is a bit pricy for how it tasted. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and they wanted ID to believe us. We don’t tend to walk around with our passports for safety reason. So they didn’t believe us. Overall I would not return. I have had better experiences in smaller mom and pop restaurants. The last time we were in Trujillo we went to sister location in the mall. We had a better experience there.
