This is a great place to experience. The bar was founded in 1880, known as the oldest bar in Peru. The place is well decorated with historical context and vintage artifacts. The food and drinks are great, all of them. The price is in the higher end, but absolutely worth it, nothing bad to say about the menu. The only criticism I have is the sitting. The staff is quite restrictive on the zones to sit. They fill the room one by one limiting other areas that could look nicer. It may be a policy, but it does not feel customer oriented.

Antigua Taberna Queirolo is a gem in Lima! Founded in 1880 as a bodega and wine bar, it’s become a beloved spot for locals and travelers alike, right next to the archaeological museum. The place is huge, packed with history and old-world charm. The menu’s all in Spanish, which made ordering a little challenging, but I watched what others were having and went with a pesto-based soup—absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for an authentic Peruvian experience in a spot that’s been around for over a century, this place is a must.

This Taberna Queiloro is such a nice visit i n Perú, its building is conserves its original architecture and furniture inside and decoration is just a travel to its history. Meals and drinks (Pisco) are just excellent. Environment is friendly, people there are happy to assist and focus on you getting a good experience. I would definitely go back again if I have the chance. It a nice visit on weekend and after a long work day it is just what one needs to relax and have great conversations.

Hier gibt es leckeres Essen, gute Bedienung und tolles Ambiente. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten als Vorspeise eine Papa Rellena. Die Papa war super lecker und gut frittiert. Die Füllung hätte meines Geschmackes etwas besser gewürzt sein können, aber sonst super. Als Hauptspeise hatte Tacu Tacu von Lomo saltado. Das Fleisch war wirklich lecker. Das Tacu Tacu auch. Eine Begleitung hatte einmal sanguches. Dieses hat ihr auch geschmeckt. Das andere Gericht war aji de gallina. Es hat ihr geschmeckt, aber sie kannte es etwas besser. Sie hat es mit dem Gericht ihrer Großmutter verglichen und wir alle wissen das man die Gerichte der Mutter und Großmutter nicht schlagen kann. Als Getränk hatte ich Pisco Sour. Dieses war auch gut. Nachspeisen hatten wir 2. Einmal Picarones, welche sehr lecker waren. Und einmal combinado. Auch dieses war sehr lecker. Der Service war sehr gut. Er war stets aufmerksam und immer freundlich. Er hat sich sein Trinkgeld mehr als verdient. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön. Ich war früher schon Mal hier und ich bin von dem alten Charme den dieses Gebäude und seine Einrichtung hat mehr als begeistert. Wirklich toll. Mein Fazit: wer einen schönen Abend mit Freunden oder Familie haben möchte, kann gerne hier her kommen. Es gibt super Essen, leckere Getränke und einen super Service. Dazu kommt ein echt tolles Ambiente. Dieser Laden hat seine 5 Sterne wirklich verdient.

Taberna Queirolo is undoubtedly one of the most iconic restaurants in Lima, Peru. It holds a special place in my heart, filled with cherished memories from my childhood in Pueblo Libre. I used to gather there with family, and now I continue to enjoy it with friends and loved ones. I can't recommend it enough! It is an institution when it comes to Pisco, Peruvian wines, and traditional Peruvian dishes. If you're in Lima, you definitely shouldn't miss it!

Fuimos el domingo 6-10-24 para tomar desayuno. Primera vez que vamos y la impresión fue grande y positiva al ver un restaurante tan bien ambientado, pulcro y amplísimo con varios ambientes de gran tamaño. La atención de los mozos fue muy eficiente, también por que era algo temprano y había, aún, poca gente. Pedimos 2 cafés americanos que estuvieron cargaditos como debe ser 💯. Un pan con jamón ahumado que viene con cebolla criolla que estuvo bastante agradable. Otro pan con asado que también viene con cebolla criolla pero no estuvo tan rico, el asado que preparamos nosotros en casa sabe mucho mejor. Haber tenido restaurante nos permite tener una mejor idea de los sabores y preparaciones. En lo personal nos gustaría que la cebolla se sirva a parte y no dentro de los panes para que sea cada uno quien se eche a su gusto o no lo haga ya que la cebolla tiene sabor fuerte. Queda la sugerencia. Pedimos también un tamal criollo que estuvo rico con buena consistencia y que de sabor estuvo algo suave, preferimos un sabor más marcado y que venga con ají y maní al interior. Mientras estuvimos allí no había bullicio de las conversaciones en voz alta por lo que lo disfrutamos y terminamos a gusto y con un buen recuerdo. Los precios tienen su nivel y ellos deben obedecer al buen estándar que tienen, a la pulcritud y a la histórica taberna en sí.
