This hole in the wall restaurant is a gem. The food is spectacular: the menu is not your typical “comida criolla”, adding twists to classic dishes that don’t fully move them to another lane, but do enhance them in inspired ways. I highly recommend the arroz con pato, the pastel de choclo, and the chicha. Ask if they have apple pie— you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The prices are very fair for the quality and heart that they put into their food. The ambiance is nothing showy, but it’s clear they’ve put care into small details. I had lunch at Cantina and overall it was good, one of my appetizers was Causa and it was amazing! as entree I ordered Arroz con mariscos and this was disappointing cause it wasn’t tasty at all and the texture and color were different from others that I tried, Arroz con Pato was also good but for the price it could have definitely been better, service was great and it’d be outstanding if you guys water the tables instead of having guests waiting for their food...

Fui porque vi publicaciones en tik tok, pero tuve una gran decepción, si bien entré rápido y sin esperar a pesar de no haber hecho una reserva. Pero el primer tema de mi mala experiencia es que la música estaba alta y llenaba el ambiente que era pequeño. Pero solicité que la bajaran un poco y amablemente lo realizaron. La comida llegó rápido, pero todo en tiempos distintos (fuimos 3 personas). La intención de innovar en presentación se comprende, pero el arroz con mariscos no se veía como uno y tampoco sabía uno, estuvo bañado en queso gratinado lo que le dio un sabor amargo y tenía una salsa verde que más parecía de arroz con pollo que de arroz con mariscos, uno de los platos mas caros que fue interminable y dejamos mas de la mitad, el seco con frejoles estuvo aceptable pero los frejoles estaban duros, les faltó cocción además de tener un sabor muy plano en general y finalmente me pedí una causa que estuvo agradable, pero que venía con trozos de chicharrón de pota el cual al comerlo te dejaba sabor a harina.
