This restaurant, with its Japanese name, implicitly purports to be a quality place to eat. We (my Peruvian girlfriend and I) found it to be more a case of very low-grade Chinese. It is an insult to the quality and integrity of Japanese culture.
The signs were not good from the start. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password I got a grumpy response from the waitress: “we don’t have access.” Later I had to ask twice for the beer I had ordered, of which there was no sign after 10 minutes.
The steak dish (pictured) was poor, with an overly spicy sauce trying its best to camouflage the leathery meat. My partner’s dish was generous but nothing special, with similarly tough meat and overly dry rice accompanying it.
I left with a strange flavour in my mouth: a cloying, oily aftertaste that was redolent of a tainted dish or two.
Hikari means “light” or “sparkle” in Japanese. How strangely inappropriate for a place that dished us...
Read moreThis used to be a place very well known for the flavor of the roasted chicken Peruvian style and the "Lono saltado", grilled beef with onions, tomatoes and potatoes. Well, sad to say now is a low quality food due to a lack of attention to the ingredients and moat of the time is easy to bote the flavor of others dishes in an order. Very well noted that they use the same cooking pot for more than one dish. Daily menu is offered at lunch time. Beverages are simple like lemonade, local chicha morada that is not so tasty in here.
Prices still medium hight and room still unchangeable in the last 10 or even more years. Service is...
