Olivia Restaurante Bar — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

We finally decided to stop and dine at this restaurant. My husband and I have been exploring various restaurants in Miraflores and Surco. I will say this: Olivia’s ambience is very alive, yet the lighting and it’s decor makes you feel you are inside an open garden. The menu offers a variety of choices between, Peruvian food, Arabic appetizers, Italian pizzas and pasta, American food, and tons of cocktails. The choices surprisingly blend well. We ordered a causa de cangrejo that was delicious (I don’t say that lightly, we’ve had so many causas). Then I hesitantly ordered a margarita pizza (I love margarita’s pizzas when it’s done right- best in the world is Antica from Italy) and to my delight, it was on point. The cheese (which can be a hit or miss in Peru) was the right amount, taste and texture. Along with the generous amount of Peruvian basil on top, it was delightful. My experience last night was just okay. I ordered a burger with angus patty, I ask for medium term, but it wasn’t medium at all, the server didn’t ask how was our meal after they delivered our dishes, also the burger for the price and the place you have guys, you should have a better French fries , more made in home and not just frozen French fries, also with the salsas mayonesa, ketchup or any of them , they were so cheap , you should make your own salsa or get a better ones. Service was just okay, one of my friend ask for a rum with cola and the server answer was no we don’t have rum with cola until the manager was walking by our table and ask if we are okay with our order , my friend ask again about the rum and cola and he said that it’s possible to make it. Srs Olivia. Les escribo porque me encuentro muy sorprendida y decepcionada, por la atención que mis papás y sus amigos recibieron ayer en su restaurante y con el hecho de que ante el reclamo hayan procedido en bloquearme en las redes sociales. Acabo de hablar con mi mamá, le pregunté como le había ido ayer en su lonche, ya que era la organizadora de una despedida y estaba muy emocionada, confiando que todo iba salir bien con uds, porque que ella siempre queda con sus grupos de amig@s para ir ahí. Su respuesta no fue lo que esperaba. Me contó que un día antes los había contactado, por el tema de la reserva, y le dieron la información del tea time, en el cual indicaban un precio. Ella se encargó de transmitir la información y coordinar con sus amigos, y se despreocupo. Llegado el momento del encuentro, le dijeron que el precio era otro, ella se sintió sorprendida e incómoda por toda esa situación, ya que era un error de uds. Me comentó que habló con el encargado del salón, y su respuesta fue cero orientada al cliente. Todo ese evento malogró por completo su experiencia. Se sintió estafa por la “publicidad engañosa”, nada comprendida, sin ganas de regresar y menos ir con grupos de amigos (en esta oportunidad fueron 25 personas aprox). De hecho, al finalizar el encuentro, en vez de que todos regresen a casa contentos se fueron con un sin sabor y creo que eso se pudo evitar. Mi mami en vez de estar contenta terminó sintiéndose responsable y triste, porque no salió todo como esperaba. Eso es lo que me motivo a escribirles, porque siento que deben contar con personal más preparado y calificado para dar la cara en su representación, más aún, con el público al que se dirigen, siempre enfocado en la atención, con buen trato y buscando soluciones para que se lleven la mejor experiencia. La forma como han asumido el comentario ha sido pésimo, ya que procedieron a eliminar mi mensaje y bloquearme, en vez de emitir alguna respuesta.
