Piedra came highly recommended by a Peruvian friend, and somehow it still exceeded expectations! Everything was 10/10 from the quality of fish to the flavors to the service. The 9 course menu (8 fish, 1 dessert) plus 3 drinks ended up being around $100 - a lot for lunch but well worth it. I loved the Asian influence in some of the dishes (ponzu sauces, lychee leche de Tigre) and the attention to detail with finishing touches like special oils or salts. I especially loved the sashimi of two temperatures - one side raw, one side broiled at the table - that I was told to eat in one bite. The tiradito was the best I’ve had, and aside from the fish dishes, the house pisco sour that was a little spicy as well as the flan-esque dessert were both divine. The service was also spot on - attentive but not overly formal - and I appreciated the servers patience with me when I asked him to repeat things or speak more slowly because my Spanish is far from perfect. Overall, can’t recommend enough!

Discovering Piedra Cocina Libre in Lima, thanks to the recommendations of two Peruvian friends, felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem in the city's bustling culinary scene. Located near trendy restaurants and open for less than a year, Piedra promises a unique dining experience centered around fresh and creative seafood cuisine. Led by chef Sebastian, Piedra Cocina Libre offers an intimate setting for lunch service, accommodating a small number of guests per seating through reservations only. With a commitment to minimizing waste, Sebastian curates a surprise seafood tasting menu each day, showcasing the freshest market finds in inventive dishes. Despite its humble appearance, the restaurant's dishes, from delicate crab cones to mouth-wathering sashimi two-ways, showcase Sebastian's culinary skills and promise to rival Lima's top dining spots. Thanks to Sebastian and the team at Piedra Cocina Libre for treating us to an unforgettable dining experience in Peru!

Buenaaaaazoooo!!! El conitoo! Crab and octopus... An amazing way to start. Razor clams... Very good, but the ones with ceviche even better Tiradito.. Very clean, tasty... Trout sashimi... Ohhh!!! Would come back only for this one Ceviche. Smoked razor clams and shrimps in ceviche.. Such a great combination! Lychee sauce a bit hard to taste.. But solid presentation Arroz! I am a fan on concolon, burned part of the bottom, with a base of chupe... A MUST! I wanted to add aji but no need.. It's very tasty... Giant shrimp... The sauce was great and the cook was just right! Degollador... A MUST refreshing recommended drink with Pisco! No photo, it was too good Overall great presentation, service, and quality. Solid 5 stars!! A top 10 place in Lima 👍🏼
