Segundo Muelle — Restaurant in Lima Metropolitan Area

I heard some not good things about this place, and from the reviews I was expecting not to be a pleasant meal. However I am very happy it was the complete opposite of it. I guess they change some things so they can give a better service and they nailed it.

Since you arrive they try to quickly get a table ready for you, and the staff is really respectful and very helpful and responsable. Always with a smile in their faces.

Hilicias, a Venezuelan waiter, is an amazing guy, so respectful and very polite, it was amazing he was taking care of our orders and always giving us suggestions for food and drinks.

The food was exactly as the description from the menu, everything we order was perfect and really tasty. They basically look just like the pictures.

The cocktails were amazing, they have a promotion of 2*1 in Pisco Sour and Chilcanos (Classic and Passion Fruit), they were absolutely delicious.

The desserts we order where excellent too, definitely recommend the CREMA VOLTEADA, it's the best one I ever had. The brownie with ice cream was also great.

Most of the segundo muelles I've been to have been pretty good. This one just doesn't seem to get the right flavors into their food. It can be chaotic inside with the waiters not knowing who gets what food. We once went in ordered 3 dishes and none of them came almost 30 minutes after we ordered. Don't expect the plate you receive to look anything like the one in the menu. While the food is not terrible it is nothing to write home about. Their fetucinies look like they come from a dollar restaurant. The staff gets on the defensive when asked about the difference between the the item on the menu and the one received.
