There are lots of restaurants in Santa Teresa selling the same things and offering the bare minimum for the "economico" price of the "menu del dia", Cafe Yacumama is the exception. Along with the classic dishes you will find on most Peruvian "Menu's" they also offer some interesting changes and everything they do is with pride. The host and the hostess are really friendly and have the cutest baby boy (at the time of our visit). The Sopa ala Minuta was perfectly balanced with flavours and the noodles were perfectly cooked and the Risotto de Quinoa was cheesy and delicious. There is a considerable selection of food/drinks at really low prices that come in sizable portions. The chance of leaving full is very probable. Highly recommend the cerveza de trigo and nachos con aguacate. The workers gave us control of the music and let us put on a desired soccer game. It is pretty nice except the open concepts makes the first floor prone to flies. The food was good. I had tequeños and juice. The juice did taste a little watered down, but it was served in a huge glass, so the portions I'd say were very fair. The service was decent.
