Shawi Parrillas Salón Café — Restaurant in Yurimaguas

Steak and BBQ restaurant near the main Square with inside and outside dinning areas. The decorations is appealing and the tables are well-spaced. We were rapidly seated by welcoming staff. Our waiter was courteous, professional and answered all our menu questions. We ordered the beef tenderloin and BBQ ribs. Both plates arrived at the same time. The food was warm but not steaming: In my opinion it was not hot enough. I received 4 small medallón instead of one large steak ; however, the total quantity was fair. The meat was mostly cooked to my taste appart for one piece that was slightly undercooked. The beef was good and tender. The ribs serving size was fair but the taste was average. The meat was not falling off the bone. Both plates were accompanied with a fair portion of home style french fries which were well-cooked and good, and a small but fresh garden salad. In conclusion it was an average dining experience with affordable prices; however, to be fair in comparison to the other local restaurants the Shawi ranks on the top of the list.
