Today, June 2, 2025, was my Graduation Day. At 5:30 P.M., my family and I went here at Mama Lou's at BF Homes for a family dinner and celebration. The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant was great, vivid, and made me feel like this is Italy, because it's obviously an Italian restaurant. Anyways, the food was great. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was so delicious, especially with the homemade sauce. Just the right amount of deliciousness they added! Then there was the cheese pizza: a bit hard with the crust, but cheesy and tasty, all at the same time. The French Onion Soup was not what I expected. I expected it to be creamy and frothy, but it was still delicious with the cheese and onions, maybe. Then, finally, I ate my favorite, the lasagna. It had juicy tomato sauce, cheesy and stretchy mozzarella cheese, and soft lasagna pasta. All together made me happy, and my mouth felt like it was on vacation in Italy! HONESTLY! Overall, Mama Lou's has been one of my favorite restaurants ever since I was 9 years old. I loved the lasagna there! The setting, atmosphere, service, and food were great! For Italian Cuisine lovers, food critics, families, couples, vloggers, or anyone, I recommend Mama Lou's as your go-to place because they know how to serve homemade Italian food that tastes just like the real thing! And perfect for gathering, hangouts, and even dates with their music and setting!...
Read moreThis is one of the most overrated restaurants I've ever visited (Evia branch). Impolite and inattentive wait staff with little to no knowledge about their food, overpriced, bland food with small serving sizes, and there was a faint, unpleasant smell inside the restaurant. Their wait staff all gathered at one side of the restaurant when we ate there, and we were unfortunately seated at the wrong side. The place was not even fully occupied. Before ordering, we asked the wait staff and/or the manager how big the serving sizes of each dish were and they looked uncertain and paused annoyingly before answering, again, uncertainly. We had the overpriced bland gnocchi, vesuvio (which was alright, but was not enough to save everything from disappointment), some fake amatriciana, some fried mushrooms, and the sad piece of raw and very thin dough with uncooked toppings they call the Mama Lou's Special pizza. What they serve is in no way authentic Italian fare. Their serving sizes and bland food would probably make Italian mothers and grandmothers, who want their families satisfied after a meal, cry. I'm still finding it hard to justify the price we paid for when we ate here, even after...
Read moreWe went to Mama Lou's BF branch on a Sunday. It was early evening but the place was full. We usually love the food in this place but last Sunday the food was not up to par with their usual quality. (We also ate here last month and a few other times in the last 4-5 months). The fried chicken pieces were not as tasty and were much smaller than before, the fries were oily and not as crispy, the vongole pasta was too oily, the truffle pasta had too much sauce. The salpicao was as delicious as before and the pizza was good. But overall, there was a noticeable dip in the usual quality of the food served. Perhaps this was because there were more diners than usual and there were so many grab takeouts. I still gave 4 stars because I would grade our previous dining experiences here 5/5. This time it was 3/5. I hope they can maintain the quality of their food and service even if they have a lot of customers. This is one of our favorite...
