I have to say, I was quite disappointed with their Pad Thai. As a lover of authentic Thai cuisine, I had high hopes for this dish, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations.I decided to try both the chicken and prawn versions of the Pad Thai in order to get a well-rounded experience. However, neither of them impressed me. It lacked the distinct flavors and authenticity that I have come to associate with this classic Thai dish. The balance of sweet, tangy, and savory flavors was off, and it tasted more like a generic stir-fried noodle dish rather than the traditional Pad Thai I was expecting.
Moreover, the portion size of the dish was quite small. Given the price we paid, I expected a more generous serving. It left me feeling unsatisfied and wanting more.
Moving on to the Mango Rice, it was just average. The rice lacked the sticky texture and the sweetness of ripe mango that should accompany this dessert. It seemed like an afterthought rather than a carefully crafted dish.
On a positive note, the service was prompt and friendly. However, the lackluster Pad Thai and mediocre Mango Rice really brought down the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend this Thai restaurant if you're looking for an authentic and delicious Pad Thai. The lack of authenticity, small portion size, and underwhelming Mango Rice left me disappointed. I hope the restaurant can work on improving the taste and authenticity of their dishes to provide a more satisfactory...
Read moreWe decided to give Thai Mango a try on Saturday night. The place was not so busy considering the amount of seats they have. Good ambiance!
So here’s our take on the food. For our mains, we had Thai Bagoong Rice, Thai Fried Chicken, and Pork Belly Pad Thai. The Bagoong rice was very tasty. The Chicken was juicy and crunchy. Having their Thai Vinegar definitely pumped up the taste. First time to have a pad thai with lechon kawali and it was not bad. We opted to have their signature sauce which was sweet and sour. The Pork Belly was seasoned well and the pad thai has balanced flavors.
For the desserts, we did try their signature Mango Sticky Rice and Thai Roti Classic. The Sticky rice was very good and it was complemented well by the sweet mangoes that goes with it. We should have requested for more coconut cream (if possible, lol). The last was the Thai Roti which was my personal favorite. This is simply a banana pancake drizzled with milk and sugar of some sort. This is really a must try!!
We will definitely go back again in Thai Mango. Looking forward to tasting other items on the menu. This place is absolutely recommendable for those Thai...
Read moreThai Mango first popped up in our radar during the pandemic. It's been our go-to Grab Delivery choice when we want a quick and easy meal before we jump back into work. This is a great place to get your simple, no frills Thai Food fix at an affordable price. Their meals have an adequate balance of flavor, texture, and the servings are good for the price point.
Their Thai Bagoong Rice, Thai Pork Belly, Thai Fried Chicken Bucket, Mango Sticky Rice, Pad Thai (much prefer the Authentic rather than their Signature Variation) and Thai Mango Classic Drink are sure-fire favorites of ours. What's more, they have vegan options!
Their restaurant in BF has a simple set-up with about five parking slots (which is good in the context of BF, where establishments usually have only a few slots). Their servers are pleasant and attentive.
Do give this place the love...
