We were in BF Resort yet again and we looked for a new place to dine in We found Kaijo Steaks and Ramen Customer service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - all the staff were very attentive to our needs and they played with Elianna when she was staring at them. They were cool The ambiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it was as Japanese as it can get. The uniform, the lighting, the interior design. It was cozy and conducice for eating. We tried 2 main dishes Saikoro Wagyu Steak @ P742 - these were Wagyu Cubes around 8pcs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ it was tender and the meaty flavor was everything you can ask for. It lost a star because it was only warm. Not sure if that’s the usual temp of the serving but it wasn’t for me. The veggies were buttery and it was a good balance for the flavor of the wagyu cubes Premium Ribeye Steak @ P806 ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 - the meat itself and the meal was flavorful. The mashed potato’s butter flavor was good. The steak was initially served raw and had to be redone. The steak came back medium rare but had bits that were still bluer than what I wanted and some were in the medium-well done end. So cook wasnt equally done. Still the flavors were there and this probably would have been higher if the steak was more evenly cooked or wasnt served raw initially. SPECIAL MENTION on the prices displayed on the menu. The price apparently DOES NOT include the taxes so the bill surprisingly blows up and I dont think this is fair practice. Might even be questionable in terms of legality, but we still paid our meal. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would I try eating here again? Maybe? It wont be on top of my list, but if you want to celebrate every once in a while and treat yourself with a good steak then you should try them out.

Now that I'm a Southie, time to start my #BFRVFoodTrip! Two of Japan's must-try are wagyu and ramen. And Kaijo has both, among other Japanese staples in their menu. We had a long drive earlier in the day, so we decided to eat somewhere near our new home. One of the most talked about restos in BFRV is Kaijo. We had the Kani Salad for starters. Serving is good for two. Lots of lettuce, cucumber, crab sticks and some mango cubes were enough to keep our stomachs from growling until the main dishes are served. The wife is also a steak fan like me, so I let her order the Kano Yogan Wagyu. It's 250g of wagyu steak cooked in lava rock, with veggies and either mashed potatoes or rice on the side. At its price, it's surprisingly tender and juicy with its modest herb, pepper and salt rub. We didn't even bother eating it with the dipping sauces. It's that good that I even ordered another serving to go, so I can paor it with red wine. I'm not really a fan of ramen, but I went for their house specialty - the Karubi Ramen. Its broth is sweet and spicy, with tender beef, veggies and lots of egg. The noodles are satisfyingly chewy. After a while, I realized it tastes like one of my local favorites, the pares mami, but without the thick sauce. I recommend this to anyone who likes spicy food. This resto seems to be busy, especially on gimik nights. Parking may be a challenge, but you can seek help from Kaijo's very friendly hostess.

We happen to discover this place while we're looking for a place to get steak. Super happy to discover it! Kaijo has been our go-to Japanese resto ever since. Price is very very reasonable as they are serving authentic Japanese cuisine and real good steak. Their ramen is never too oily and they never skimp on ingredients. What I like most about Kaijo is that they have ramen with beef broth which is great as my hubby and I are not pork eaters. Karubi ramen have a spicy kick but never overpowers the broth nor the beef. Staffs were super nice and explained each dishes well. Never went wrong with their suggestions. I appreciated that they are super attentive to their customers, asking if we need additional napkins or water. They also provide points for your transactions 👍🏼

We’ve loved this restaurant since 2017/2018 and always recommend it to our friends and family. We even celebrate our special occasions here because we trust the quality of the food and service. However, I have to say that our experience last night (01/05/25) left us really disappointed.

Every dish that was served was cold, including our steak, which was quite surprising as the area we were seated in wasn’t cold at all. Normally, the food here is served hot and fresh, but that wasn’t the case yesterday. I couldn’t hold it in anymore and had to call one of the staff to tell them about it 😭.

I understand that things happen, but it was our special day, and spending nearly 3,000 pesos on a dinner that we couldn’t fully enjoy because of the temperature of the food was disheartening.

I also wanted to ask for clarification about the Tekka Maki. Is it supposed to have a lot of wasabi inside? The description didn’t mention that, and while we enjoy spicy food, it caught us off guard.

We still love this place and will continue to come back, but maybe it won’t be our top choice anymore 🥺. We hope this feedback helps, and we look forward to better...
