We have been visiting this place whenever we go to the city of Alaminos. The venue is just a few meters away from Lucap wharf or the park so the idea of enjoying the park's view and having dinner right after sounds great. Peak hours, I think, are usually dinnertime. Well, the availability of tables is not a problem because they have a wide place and space to choose from. One near the sea that is cold and windy at night, one located inside ideal for guests with babies, one all fresco type with coconuts mimicking a peaceful nature-lover environment, and another by the sea. I almost forgot their facade where we take pictures with the fam bam. They have many staff to assist you, that is for sure. Just make sure to get their attention first when you need them. Parking space? They have it and if in case you run out of parking space, you may want to consider the wharf parking area. Their restrooms are presentable and clean. Yes! They have tissues, too! Payment is cash basis only and pets are not allowed no matter how cute and lovable looking they are.

Maxine By the Sea Seafood Restaurant is a seaside restaurant located near the Hundred Islands Port Area in Alaminos, Pangasinan. This restaurant is a good spot to get your meals prior to or after visiting Hundred Islands. Although this is a seafood restaurant, the dishes served also includes non-seafood options, such as pork, chicken and beef. The restaurant has a big dining area with a lot of dining tables, and an al fresco option. There is also a second floor dining area in case you guests floods the area. Tables are set far apart enough so that it does not feel cramped. This restaurant provides one a good view of some of the islands within the Hundred Islands of Alaminos. They also have some good 'instagram-able" spots, including the big butterfly wings located at the entrance. Although they have a car park for several cars, I don't think it will be enough if they have a lot of visitors and guests. Luckily, this restaurant is very close to the Hundred Islands Port Area which has a big car park that can accommodate hundreds of cars.

For starters, the view is amazing. From your table you look straight out towards the hundred islands. The location is perfect, adjacent to the dock where you can grab a boat to the islands. It is a perfect place to start or end your day to the islands, or both! The staff was very attentive and always ready to take care of your every need. Yes, it may be a little pricier than some of the nearby "restaurants", which are more akin to street vendors, but you get what you pay for. The food is FRESH and full of flavor. If you want to save money you can go to Jollibee in town. If you want an amazing meal paired with an amazing view I highly recommend Maxine's.

Go for the view, go for the string trio who are quite entertaining and talented serenading guests at tables.

Food gets mixed review for the most part. Appetizers were too salty and over breaded, although the vegetable soup was good. Do not order the fried chicken. If you don’t want grease emanating from your food, avoid this place.

Service ABSOLUTELY SUCKED!!! Waiters are undertrained and mismanaged. They loitered the floor like the teenage kids they are because there was no one supervising them. They drop the food orders on your table and skitter away back to the center of the floor to socialize among themselves. And good luck catching their attention even when they literally nudge your seat on their way back to their clique. Same group dynamic with staff downstairs and cashier’s counter. This is what happens when labor is cheap and you end up substituting more hands on deck for quality service.

Then the matter of the bill. Nowhere in the building, menu. or tables is there any sign saying that the multiple wing restaurant - which perhaps has a two hundred + seating capacity - ONLY. ACCEPTS CASH FOR PAYMENT. The waiters don’t mention it when taking orders either. After tipping the table minstrels, I didn’t have enough ₽ paper money to cover the check and leave a decent tip. They don’t have a way to accept ATM, CC, or even eCash. Had to find a money changer to settle the bill. This is no hole-in-the-wall establishment, it’s a sprawling tourist food court; absolutely no reason to loose business by not accepting safe means to make payment's. To be a cash only business for a large food service in a location such as this, one has to make sure to collect their receipts after paying just to make sure that they are properly recording the sale. Just saying…..

Place deserves no stars but I split one for the fresh air, the string trio and the...

First of all, Shoutout to the staff of Maxine's Restaurant and Hotel - very accommodating and friendly. The room is nice - pretty average. The food? - nah... I would rather go to a nearby fast food chain (actually its a ride away). The food is expensive. There are lots of eatery (Karinderia) at the park which have lots of choices.||||One thing I and my friends were truly pissed off was... and i would like to understand... that the staff knows that most of their guests will have a DAY TOUR. This means that a whole day out of the hotel, whole day touring. Although I inform the counter if we were not back by 2pm, check us out of the room and safekeep our stuffs at the counter.||||So, we had the day tour but we decided to come back before 2 pm because the tour is very tiring for all of us. When we arrived at the hotel, our stuff was already at the front desk. I asked the manager if we can just use the room and freshen up because its not 2 pm yet. But she refused and told us that the room was already cleaned and another guest is being expected to check in.||||Alright... because I understand them very well, I just asked them if they have a shower area which we can use since we were their guest. BUT THEY DON'T HAVE? OMG.||||WET and TIRED, we were forced to use the public washroom at the park and pay Php10.00 (I Think) for using it.||||I just want to suggest to have an extra mile to use of their toilets to be used as shower as well for their guests who had a tour and coming back to their "NICE" hotel...
