I had a disappointing experience at the KFC branch in Marisol, Angeles City.
There were three of us, and upon entering, the cashier informed us that we needed to use the kiosk, which was fine. I selected one Famous Bowl Fully Loaded Meal, two 1-piece Fully Loaded Meals (one spicy and one original flavor, with sides of fries and mashed potatoes), and added extra rice.
I let my husband pay for the order. Two of the meals were correct—the two 1-piece Fully Loaded Meals with the right sides. However, the third order, which was supposed to be the Famous Bowl Fully Loaded Meal, was incorrect. They gave me a Fully Loaded Meal, but without the Famous Bowl itself. I pointed this out to the cashier, "noting that it also had a different price on the receipt."
She insisted that the order was correct, even though she was looking at the screen with the wrong items. I explained again that it wasn’t what I had ordered, and the price showed that it was a different kind of meal. "At this point, the cashier seemed more irritated than I was, which only added to my frustration." She then claimed the Famous Bowl wasn’t available, but she didn’t check with her colleagues. I told her I wanted a refund if it wasn’t available. She went to the prep area, and one of the staff confirmed that the Famous Bowl was, in fact, available.
My suggestion is that if cashiers are unsure about item availability, they should not direct customers to use the kiosks. Alternatively, they should inform customers during the ordering process if certain items are unavailable. Additionally, please check your receipt printers, as it seems there is an issue with them, and nothing appears to be...
Read moreI've been a loyal KFC fan for years, but a recent experience at this particular branch really missed the mark. It's a shame, because it's the only KFC that has consistently underperformed based on the reviews I saw here.
Here's what happened:
Last night, I was incredibly hungry after missing both lunch and dinner, and a KFC craving hit hard. I arrived at the branch around 10:40 PM. The queue was moving at a snail's pace; it felt like ages for the customer ahead of me to get their order.
When it was finally my turn, I ordered a Chili Cheeze Zinger for dine-in. The cashier told me they'd call my number when it was ready. I sat down, kept my phone volume low so I wouldn't miss the call, and scrolled through it. After 20 minutes, with no food in sight, I went back to the cashier to ask about my order. To my surprise, the cashier pointed to a packed takeout order already sitting there, saying, "This is it, sir." I was confused because I had specifically selected "dine-in" at the kiosk.
What was even more frustrating was observing three managers during all of this. They seemed completely engrossed in their phones or computers, looking relaxed while their employees were hustling, taking orders, and assembling food.
This was a stark contrast to other KFC branches I've visited, where managers actively help out when the staff is short-handed.
Despite my overall love for KFC, this branch truly disappointed me. I sincerely hope they make...
Read moreThe staff were so bad and so unhelpful. We had to call them 10 times before they assisted us in taking our orders. When the cashier saw that we were going to use an e-gift card (QR code), which was rewarded to me by my employer, to purchase our order, they seemed uninterested and passed us to the manager. When we spoke with the manager, he did not know how to use it. I explained that we went to the same KFC before, and we had used an e-gift card successfully, which the cashier simply scanned. I asked him to try scanning it, but he wanted us to provide the original copy of the QR code since I only had a screenshot. I insisted that he try scanning it, and after some reluctance, he finally did. It worked instantly, like a snap of a finger.
The service we received was very poor. The staff were not smiling and sounded rude when taking orders. I hope they can improve this.
I work in a customer service role myself, and I understand that the job can be challenging. However, it’s the profession we have chosen, and at the very least, staff should...
