I've eaten from this place twice, two days in a row.
First meal, I had the Tom Yum and breaded chicken salad. It was an absolutely beautiful experience. The salad was fresh although the chicken was slightly over cooked. A slight tang on the tongue and just enough heat for my weak chili tolerance. The Tom Yum was just as amazing and a decent serving size for its price.
The FOLLOWING day we ordered again and this time I had the minced chicken salad and Thai green curry. Again, another good culinary experience. The salad was slightly tangy but with a nice balance of salt and fresh herbs. The amount of chicken in the salad was perfect too, most places nowadays skimp on toppings. The Thai green curry was just *chef's kiss, made with fresh ingredients and a good serving of chicken. I cannot stress enough how refreshing both meals were.
Before listening to self proclaimed "food critics", go try it for yourself. The queue outside the door during lunch and dinner will show you that the restaurant is popular for a reason, compared to all the other subpar takeaways/buffets in that strip. I will be back this...
Read moreThe staff is nice and friendly, so we hate to give a negative review. Sadly, the food was average at best. I've lived in Thailand and know the Thai cuisine, especially Pad Thai and Som Tum. Actually, we've had the same dishes in another Thai restaurant in Lapu Lapu (Cebu) that are much better. Here are some examples of what we ordered: 1) Som Tum that was so-so. The green papaya was soggy and overall the dish lacked authentic Thai flavor. 2) Pad Thai that was unflavorful, had a unusual dissatifying taste unlike real Pad Thai, and the noodles were maybe overcooked. 3) Fried Spring Rolls that were tasty and the sauce was delicious. I'm sorry to the owners, but we will not order again. We hope maybe some changes will be made to the cooking to give a better Thai cuisine experience in the Philippines. My wife and I wish the best for you, and we hope this...
Read moreBaan Thai Homm is the real deal, and will not disappoint. If you know the authentic “ahan-thai” or thai food, you will find thai food comfort and authenticity here. We got so excited knowing that the chef here is a true, blue blood Thai.
We really enjoyed ALL ahan-thai/thai food served here. The food we ordered here are even better than some of the local resto/eatery/street food that we’ve tried during our travels in Thailand. Sad that the mango sticky rice was sold out when we came here.
Count us as one of your regulars, we will definitely come back here with friends&family.
