The place is very charming: a good blend of the rustic (capiz windows, era chandeliers, qoosen floors & beams) & the modern (split type aircon, CCTV & speakers).
The food was served altogether, which means the quality of some of the courses were compromised.
The miki-bihon pancit tasted well, but it was obviously left on their prep table after cooking such that the veggies and the top portion of the noodles were starting to get dry.
The pancit malabon was ok but a bit on the less salty side.
The portion size of the eggplant salad should have been a bit bigger given its price such that one would really feel the value-for-money, especially since the taste married well.
The grilled pork ribs tasted okay (the marinade was good) but was already tough, evidently overcooked, which is ironic cuz the courses were served altogether.
Because the food were served together, it took more than 15mins to serve the 4 courses, which of course is a bit on the "long wait" side.
Overall, just because of the place, I still...
Read more3,300 pesos is expensive for 4 people. I am assuming that the set is for 4 people based on the Menu. So the total would be 825 pesos per peeson.
Price to amount of food serve is not proportionate. Hence I try to look at it as fine dining however the taste of it is just the same as a cheaper restaurant. The cheaper restaurant might even be better like the chicken is dry in this restaurant for some reason.
The ambiance is ok, nothing much to compensate for the food.
I was shocked that the rating here in google is 4.1 as those rating should already be great. Then i saw some of the review are 4 stars yet have a lot of complains as well. Hence the rating can be faulty.
Over all, quantity and quality of the food is something that I will not go back to and that i won't recommend sadly.
Las Casas is a great place to visit and stay but not for this restaurant based on my experience. Best to just visit and stay and dine outside their compound as it is cheaper and...
Read moreAs one of the restaurants inside Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan, they have a captive market. The ambiance is consistent with the old-feel of the resort. Food presentation is elevated. Staff are attentive. Food tastes good. The only one we didn't find at least up to par was the pancit. Taro ice cream is creamy and something different.
We ordered kinilaw (nicely done and tasted "fresh"), chicken inasal ( small serving but taste and doneness are right), ensaladang talong (most value for money among all our orders), pakbet with bagnet (also good).
This would've been a 5 but they're just too pricey. Small servings. Dining experience is generally fine and...
