Good food great prices! Don't let the pre-cooked food and road side location fool you. Like most filipino road side eateries, you will find cooked dishes ready to be served. Some places warm the dishes while others don't and Yolly's is no exception. As a western tourist who traveled to Baler for the weekend, I found the food at Yolly's exceptionally tasty. We were a party of 7 of varying ages with a wide pallet. Everything we ordered was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. We ordered numerous meat and vegetable dishes (usual suspects such as adobo, caldareta, kangkong, etc.) My favorite dish was the dinuguan. What made the dish different was that they barbeque'd the meat (pork) prior to cooking the dish which gave the dish a unique flavor (bbq dinuguan.) The place is clean and the service was acceptable. They were responsive and attentive to our needs. Restaurant choices in Baler is minimal and this place by far was the best place I ate outside of where we stayed...
Read moreThis place is very easy to locate since it’s on pf the main roads in the Bayan. Some of the dishes however, are alright, but most we’re a flop. I’ve had crayfish that seemed to be too Earthy, it’s either been there for too long or it’s not properly washed.
Not a bad price for a buffet of P200 per person considering the choices of Filipino viands they serve. However, lobsters, crabs, and other grilled items are sold separately. They also sell fruits, and salads, and also pasalubong items in a corner.
Another thing that bothered me is while attempting to get food, I’d have to excuse myself to people entering the restaurant since the food are situated near the entrance, and customers also order single meals from the buffet table.
To top it all off, altho the food may not be the greatest thing here, the staff we’re...
Read moreBad service and not worth the money as compared with Picnic Bay.
On my last day in Baler, i tried Yolly's because i always see their display of grilled pork and crispy pork, however when i went there, i found out that these food are not included in their buffet. I assumed it would be included since their competitor includes this, no wonder there were fewer locals eating here.
The food were cold and there were few choices and when i got Sinigang from the buffet, there were no soup. I asked for the soup but they gave me a different soup instead (soup for nilaga).
The service was bad as well, you need to ask the staff multiple times and they seems not happy whenever you requested something.
If ever you are in Baler, go to Picnic...
