Amco Beach Resort — Hotel in Baler

Reasonable price for a beachfront location with a pool. We were able to haggle with the price probably because it is off season. Friendly and accommodating staff. Overnight accommodation options are limited esp for couples as there are only hut type cottages large enough for a good night's sleep. We don't mind as we're out visiting tourist spots anyway. They have 2 dorm type rooms good for 12 or 14 pax respectively, and two family rooms good for 5 pax each. There's wifi but is best accessed if you're at the dorms. There are a number of sheds, either enclosed or not, if you'd prefer to stay just for the day. The beach is rocky but the water is mostly clear unlike that at Sabang Beach. The rock formations add beauty to the area. The place is ideal if you have your own means of transpo but not if you'd need public transportation as the latter is limited and the town proper is far. If you don't mind the hike, the light house is a few minutes' walk...

I booked at this hotel based on the review I have read and pictures shown in the review. There was a pool according to information given. Yes, there is but the problem is there is no water in it. What a big disappointment knowing that Sabang Beach is not for swimming but for surfing. Another disappointment is that it lacks maintenance. Its a good for nothing accommodation. Better than nothing. I wont be coming to this hotel anymore. Except for the parking space, they could not offer you anything good. ||One more thing, we checked in early but were not accommodated, so we went out first and get back here at AMCO exactly in time for checking in but to our dismay, our room is still not ready we still have to wait for another 5 to 10 minutes. Very affordable and with that, I can't really complain about their amenities.

They have one pool which is a kiddie pool. They have cottages, tents and few rooms for rent. We stayed in a cottage but there no wall outlets for us to charge our devices. Also there is no electric fan in the cottages and no wifi in the place. Thier restrooms are not clean.

Where this place shines is the beach. It is not white sand. It's rocky and not recommended for swimming or surfing but it is very beautiful. The scenary is great and very Instagramable.

Again it is very affordable so I can't really complain. Overall, i can recommend this place for those people who want to take good photos.
