Outstanding Experience at Gerry’s Grill Bauang, La Union

Dear Gerry’s Grill Bauang, La Union Team,

We’ve been loyal patrons of Gerry’s Grill for many years, but until now, we never had a favorite branch — that changed during our recent visit to Bauang, La Union.

On May 1st (just earlier today), after nearly four hours on the road via TPLEX, we were eager to find a place where we could rest and enjoy a comforting, home-cooked-style meal — something beyond the usual fast food. As we traveled along Marcos Highway, the familiar Gerry’s Grill sign caught our attention, and we decided to stop by the Bauang branch before heading to our hotel.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the team. I deliberately use are — not were — to describe them because I am confident this branch consistently delivers exceptional service.

Branch Manager Sir CeeJay greeted us personally, found a table for our family of three, (actually we were seated beside their POS) and had it promptly cleaned so we could settle in. Although we were told food might take 25 minutes or longer, we were happy to wait and unwind after our long trip. During the busy lunch rush, we were pleasantly surprised when complimentary chips were offered while we waited — a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the entire meal.

Our orders — pork sinigang, pork BBQ, garlic rice, and lumpiang shanghai — were all excellent.

The sinigang was perfectly seasoned, with just the right balance of sourness, and needed no extra condiments.

The pork BBQ was tender and flavorful — not overcooked or tough.

The garlic rice was delicious, and while the lumpiang shanghai arrived a little later, the staff was gracious in apologizing, and we completely understood given the crowd.

If we were to rate this experience on a scale of 1 to 10, we would give it 100 — and here’s why:

Teamwork — This branch showed remarkable teamwork. Staff didn’t point fingers or delegate on the fly; they seamlessly supported one another and attended to every guest.

Initiative — Julie (whose name we remember) kindly offered a sinigang soup refill — something we hadn’t encountered at other branches.

Customer priority — Even when busy, they ensured orders were complete, apologized for any minor delays, and kept us informed.

Efficiency — Despite the lunch rush, we waited less than 30 minutes — far better than the hour-long delays we’ve experienced at other branches.

Food quality — The food was excellent across the board, and we appreciated the care taken in preparation.

What impressed us most was the personal touch. Sir CeeJay, the branch manager, checked on our table to ensure we were satisfied with our meal and service, inspite of the being busy (he kept walking around, assisting customers) — a rare and meaningful gesture.

This was our first time dining at Gerry’s Grill Bauang,La Union, but it certainly won’t be the last. While the waves of La Union keep drawing us back, this branch has now become another reason we’ll return.

Amazing Experience – Exceptional Service and Delicious Food!

I recently visited Gerry’s at Bauang La Union and was absolutely blown away by the experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and cared for. The warm, friendly greeting set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience.

The customer service was truly exceptional. The team was attentive without being intrusive, anticipating my needs before I even had to ask. They took the time to explain the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their customers.

Now, let’s talk about the food – wow! Every dish was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and putting care into every bite. It’s rare to find a place where both the service and food are this outstanding.

Bad food and unattentive service. “Not available” seems to be the motto of this restaurant. All dishes we decided to order are out, even a simple rice dish, but plain and garlic rice can be ordered. For drink we ordered a shake, nice xmas design and good taste and a SMB pale. I received not the ORIGINAL beer, instead they try to sell me an in license brewed beer from Hong Kong as local beer. I refused to accept it, coz I ask for original SMB. Guess what, the beer was on my bill😡😡😡. The food was almost the same, average to bad. Pinakbet was ok, Bicol Express was good and Pancit was not uneatable. Besides that all tastes like pepper and salt was missing, this could fixed, but the noodles were totally overcooked, the whole dish had a consistency from Congee. The complaint was barely recognized and despite that I barely touch the food was the “Management”not willing to offer a replacement. No wonder why only 4 other customers find their way on a Sunday into this joint. Waste of time and money.
