Food: Croquetas - great! Fried Squid - good Paella - good Salmon - good Onion soup - okay Pumpkin Soup - not really good, "malabnaw" and lacks the taste of pumpkin Salpicao - okay, it was like tapa and slightly sour Pesto pasta - some noodles were undercooked or like it was stuck at the bottom of the pan (matigas) Chicken - raw & bloody inside :(
Experience: The kids had a separate table bec they could not accommodate us in one table. That was fine.. so the kids ordered chicken and rice. The serving time was long, and even though they knew the children's orders, they served it last and raw! When it was sliced, there was still blood - both two orders of chicken. I gave it back to the cooking crew. The extra rice we ordered arrived, and I told the server that we had nothing to pair it to since the chicken was raw. The server didn't react and just served the extra cups of rice. So the rice got cold and the chicken was not eaten completely anymore bec the kids got really hungry and tired so they just ate the rice.
And the salad was served at our table after all the other main dishes were served and consumed already.
This experience was really disappointing :( Serving bloody food and being unapologetic about it...
Read moreWe were doing a Laguna loop when we discovered this place, and it felt like we were transported back to the old times. We ordered Paella Negra, Pumpkin Soup, Mushroom Croquettes, Callos, Custard with burnt sugar, and Churros. All the mains and appetizers we ordered were really great. My favorite was the croquettes! For dessert, I preferred the churros over the custard because they’re not your ordinary churros; they have a sticky filling like tikoy and were fried perfectly. The custard could use some enhancement, though. The chef approached us to ask how the food was, and I appreciated that. All the food we ordered amounted to only Php 1515—what a bang for the buck! I recommend trying this restaurant if you happen to be in the area or passing by...
Read moreThe food was good, the service was great, and the place was very Instagrammable (it's a shame they were doing some construction outside).
We arrived right at their opening time, and they graciously allowed us to take pictures. We ordered their Croquetas Jamon, Chorizo y Pollo Paella, Salpicao, and sangria. For dessert, we enjoyed Crema Catalana and Churros. Everything was delicious and worth the price. When our server overheard my mom mentioning she wanted halo-halo from their nearby restaurant, Kamayan sa Palaisdaan, he kindly offered to order it for us. That's why we were able to have...
