Rio Verde has a very wide parking area. Beautiful waiting area spot, perfect for Instagram posts. Wide variety of souvenir shops around. A charge of 850 pesos per head will be collected for your tickets. Wait for your numbers to flash on the big screen then proceed in presenting it to the staff and have it scanned the QR code to open the gate. Look for your designated boat number to board. Money is worth it and a must try experience when in Bohol. Food was delicious and authentic. On board is a musician that sings Pinoy classic with his guitar, you can request a song or sing along if you want. You can send cash donation for the singer before the boat ends the trip, any amount will do. Someone from the boat will be roaming around to pass the hat. Since it's a buffet set up, respective tables will be called to get their food. You have to wait for your table numbers to be called. The picking of food selection always starts with the rice moving forward to the different menu up to the dessert, fruits like banana and watermelon are also available for the selection. An attendant will be roaming around if you would like extra drinks like soft drinks, juice or fruit shakes but that would be with extra charge. If I am not mistaken the price of the fruit shake is around 100 to 120 pesos only. The boat will be sailing thru the Loboc river for at least an hour and will be having a 15 minutes stop over on a particular tribe attraction before heading back home. You can go down and have some photo opts with them and donation boxes can be found also. One of the staff will call out and announce that all tourists must go back to the boat since it will go back and end the journey. You can take pictures while at the boat and one staff member will also ask for each table to have a group picture with two different locations. If you want to have a souvenir of your Loboc adventure, you can avail of ref magnets with your pictures in it. Not sure how much each magnet cost since it was my eldest who paid for it. They will let you choose which...

Waiting time at the main hall was more than 2 hours even though we arrived at 11:30am (before the bulk of tourists arrive). The waiting time would've been understandable because you're queued but the local tour guides skip in queue and join their 20+ groups with others local guides that arrived earlier. The Rio Verde management allows it despite written in your queue number how many pax you have in your slot which makes it frustrating and basically ruins your experience before it even starts.
Once you get in the raft, food was actually well seasoned and with a huge spread of choices but if youre vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions dont even try to come here.
We were offered shakes at supposedly 75 pesos each but they dont let you pay outright which was already doubtful so I really confirmed the price before ordering. I asked twice and answered 75 pesos each both time so I was sure but then when the cruise was over the other guy asking for the payments said it was 150 each (tasted like a 30-50pesos shake at the side of the road btw).
Don't even go out the raft when you arrive at the "ati village" they're very aggressive at trying to get you to "donate" - grabbing/dragging you to their sets, forcing you to take stuff you don't want despite verbally and signaling NO, I understand its not the fault of Rio Verde but they are still accountable because they bring you to that village! They have a sign at the front saying it's not necessary to tip but they are basically gouging you. There were around 8 sets but after being harassed into 2 sets we just went back to the raft and waited.
After 2 days i still can't get over the fact that they would scam people for just 75 pesos more for a shake. I was happy to pay 75 pesos not 150! Bohol tourism board should take a look into this place.
I do not recommend coming here. Eat somewhere else and use that time to go to other tourist activities instead. Wasted almost 3 hours for a...
Read moreSome food was good and some.was ok. I felt that the boat ride was shorter than my previous one from a different floating restaurant/location. They had a mini activity where they stop at the end and u can go down to visit a place of where a certain tribe lives.. and they bring you to a different photo stops with these tribe. There are tiny stages where u can take a picture. They call you to take pictures and after that they keep asking you for the tip. And there was a sign that you are not required give tips. But can give tips if u want too. The tribe member after phoro spots was really pushy to give tips. Imagine there were.like 10 different spots you cam pose with them. Even if u just want to.look.they.will keep calling you to take picture with them. Initially.i had some small.bills and gave to.some.that i felt disld extra presentation. But the other ones if u dont give tips they will keep following you and force you to tip. There.was even 1 tribe member that wont stop following you telling me it was required to tip. I told him there is a sign at the main entrance stating I am not required. This ruined my experience and i just decided not to look at the other tribe stations as they will hardcore harrass you for tips even if u have given tips to other members. It was also same thing with the waitress as she did went to table to table to ask for tips for the singer and she wont leave the table until.you have given a tip. The waitress didnt even give us water and only delivered the mango juice we ordered and paid.extra. i had to go ask the counter if we have included Bottled water which they said yes and gave me some. They should.just give every people on the table with water if they paid for it.. the only good thing here is few foods such as bbq and.the look of thee boats and lobby. Now i know.why they have fewer people that eat there. They try to cut corners. The loboc river is...
