Hi there! CDO's top foodie here.
THE SPACE: Mykarelli's Grill is a longstanding CDO eatery. It's been upgraded nicely, but still is a gathering space for large parties. They've added a more cosy air-conditioned area, but still the space is ultimately a street-front, open-air, bright and noisy party space for friends and family to gather. There is parking, but it fills up fast and you might have to park on the street. THE SPACE: 2 stars.
THE FOOD: The food is always excellent, if straightforward Filipno fare. The portion sizes are reasonable, and the boodle fight options are definitely the most popular thing on the menu. Again, this is really a party venue, and big family dishes are the best. You won't find any original dishes at Mykarelli's, just the traditional Filipino fare cooked the traditional Filipino way. THE FOOD: 3 stars.
THE PRICE: The prices of course can't be beat, and the budget dining experience here is one of the better in the city. Mykarelli's is always my family's first choice when we want to take 8 or more people out to eat on a budget. THE PRICE: 5 stars.
THE SERVICE: The service is absolutely fine for the level of dining on offer. The wait staff always manages to feed a full dining room with aplomb and accuracy. Getting a waiter's attention when it is busy can be a bit challenging, but the staff stays ahead of things and requests are met promptly. THE SERVICE: 4 stars.
SUMMARY: Mykarelli's Grill is a CDO institution, with it's party atmosphere, solid menu, and good service at exceptionally reasonable prices. It's the quintessential Filipino restaurant.

Read moreWe appreciated the place or the ambience of the resto but our expectations especially towards there food wasn't met. Was willing to pay if they only informed us how much was the plate (p2.5 about a dollar)... but NO. They just write it on our bill and deducted our change for the price of the plate. Please train your staff of proper customer service. Also the manager on duty get mad on us when we confronted him about the prices. Not good to recommend to your friends or family. It's a good thing still have one star...
Read moreThe rice was very hard to chew without the soup, and the watermelon shake didn’t taste fresh, I believe the melon was already spoiled. While some of the food was good, a few items and service weren’t up to my standard, specially the shake. The food also wasn’t hot when it was served. The water had a strange pineapple-like taste, as if it came from an old tumbler. Lastly, the sayote on our...
