Pearlmont Hotel
The owners of the hotel are actually a friend. This will be an honest review of the hotel. This hotel is a favorite seminars and workshop. At one time Department of Health Region 10 booked all its activities in this said hotel. The hotel is located adjacent to the Limketkai commercial complex. A walking distance for me who prefers to walk. If you prefer to ride, it is just a very short jeepney ride. It’s a good place to book for events and conferences. They have function rooms with different sizes to fit the needs of your even. Big or small even they can easily accommodate.
We had training for Incident Command System. On the next day, i found some small cockroaches in the closet and the comfort room. I informed the cleaning crew. They were honest enough that some time it happens because people bring food inside their room. They fumigated the room during the day.
One thing i notice is that they did not put bottle water in the room. It is traditionally given in most hotels. So instead of bottle water, they placed a pitcher of water in the room. This is good because it reduces the carbon footprint. No plastic bottles to dispose. By the way, The owners have their own water filtration business. Another business owned by the owners is a massage parlor, so it would not be a surprise if they offer massage from MG Massage Parlor.
Another thing i noticed is that the curtains needs to either be cleaned or replace. It would also appear that the TV in the room is not connected to cable TV so you have to watch free TV. The hotel offers free wifi. The downside of their wifi is that it is only available at the lobby. Another con for their wifi is that is is as slow as tar.
The food they offer is good and generous. We use to order rellenong manok every Christmas or New Year. Although the owners of the hotel owns the adjacent Axis gym, the hotel itself does not have a gym although you can take a jog around the adjacent Limketkai Commercial Complex. The hotel however has a swimming pool located in their rooft0p. The room accommodation provides for free breakfast good for two. Another good thing, they have more than adequate parking space indoor...

Read moreWhenever I travel to CDO, I always stay in Seda Hotel, but one time I visited, all the hotels is fully booked so I looked for an alternative. Pearlmont became one of my few options. I am so hesitant to book a room in this hotel because when I saw the pictures available in the internet, I have an immediate perception that it was an old hotel and can be unpleasant to stay. But this hotel proved me wrong. Maybe because I expected the worst.||||The moment you stepped inside this hotel you will immediately noticed its antique feel interiors. But if you look in to every detail, you can imagine that if you go back in the past when this hotel was newly opened, these interiors are really extravagant. Time just removed its sparkles (and maybe not maintained that much).||||Every floor in this hotel have different theme. The name of the floor gives a little hint of what to expect of its interior. Most of its floors and walls are all polished woods. There were several stained glass decorations.||||What surprised me the most is that they have several huge function hall.||||Their room where not that bad, just do not expect a 4 or 5 star hotel bed but it is quite enough for the price of their room. It is spacious and got this feel of living in an old house. Can be creepy at first but it is still good. They have shower heater and quite spacious toilet and bath area.||||A cute small swimming pool is available in the roof top.||||Over-all my stay in this hotel is good and pleasant. My only negative comment is that the location of this hotel is near to a little depressed...
