The Dining Hall at Seda Centrio — Restaurant in Cagayan de Oro

The restaurant does not allow you to sit in their restaurant and order off the restaurant menu on their special buffet nights. You can only order from the menu for room service. This is completely ridiculous. There's live music, but again it's only for people interested in their special buffet theme for the night. And good luck getting them to answer the phone to order off the menu, you'll have to walk down there and order in person, completely defeating the purpose of "room service." A very disappointing policy. I understand the buffet is more profitable but the restaurant was 3/4 empty on New Year's weekend so what's the point? The room service is delivered with no tray or cart to eat on, just plates delivered for you to decide if you want to eat on the bed, floor, desk? Come on guys, do better.

Edit/Addendum: Now that we've finally had a chance to order from the menu and eat in the restaurant, I'm afraid I have to remove a star. I understand now why they focus so much on the buffet nights, because the chef cannot properly cook their menu items. The "sous vide" ribs were a huge disappointment, the most dry and overcooked ribs I've ever seen in my life. Maybe the chef does not understand how to use the sous vide machine? The mashed potatoes were definitely something from a box, the water already separating from the "potato" after just minutes. Keep in mind this is one of the most or the most expensive main dishes on the menu. My wife's Kare Kare was ok, the meat once again overcooked, and the sauce just tasted like basic peanut butter.

The hotel's free breakfast buffet in this restaurant is good enough to not leave the review at 1 star, but these other issues really need to be fixed for a restaurant in a hotel of this level the food should be so...

Since in-house restaurant siya sa hotel, understandable ang price..
