Shakey's Pizza Parlor - New Halang — Restaurant in Calamba

[During pandemic] As in most establishments, this restaurant temporarily closed then reopened to accept only the minimum required number of diners. They were one of the first restaurants to focus on deliveries and take-outs during stricter quarantine periods.

On hindsight, it was a very accessible pizza parlor because of its location that's just adjacent the national highway. Parking was not a problem; there was more space at the back of the store. Overall, it was the same menu and experience across all other Shakey's Pizza Parlors. There was nothing really extraordinary in this branch. The crew was generally prompt and courteous. There was sufficient air conditioning inside and kitchen exhaust was good enough that the scent of chicken and mojos didn't stick on your shirt. Oh, the only downside, paying your bill took an unusually long time. So for the succeeding times there, I have paid the bill already even though we have not...

Dining in, it's great! The food is good and always fresh! Service is pretty good! Friendly staffs and ample parking space. The place has a couple of big screen TV for NBA lovers out there! Delivery, it depends upon the delivery guy (rider)'s availability. If you live like 5 minutes drive away, you'd drive to pick up your order or wait for an hour or two to have your order delivered to you. There are times you get it in less than an hour but that's not all the time. But food still taste good! l recommend this for dine in. They seem to be understaffed. It was a Tuesday afternoon, probably one of their lean days, but they only had one server to about 4-5 tables with customers and one person on their POS. I do see that the server wanted to make sure that everyone was well attended but it was difficult since he was only one. I was mostly overlooked coz I dined alone. I think a lot of restaurants cut staff and kawawa naman yung mga staff niyo pag bigla dumami customers tapos it compromises the service quality pa. It took them 40 minutes to serve my food tapos mali pa yung pizza of choice. :
