We decided to have dinner at this branch of Escobar’s Steakhouse after checking out a newly opened thrift store nearby with my family.

What we appreciate about Escobar’s is their affordable selection of steaks and back ribs. Naturally, you can’t expect Wagyu quality here—the meat is likely locally sourced, and while it has a bit of chew, it’s still reasonably tender for the price.

We went with the Grass-Fed Rib Eye platter. As expected, it’s not the most tender steak out there, but it’s satisfying at this price point. We found it slightly under-seasoned, but the plus side is that you can add salt and pepper to taste (provided on each table). They also offer gravy and BBQ dipping sauces, which add a nice flavor boost. For those looking for a softer cut, they have U.S. steaks available at a higher price that may be more tender. We chose the Grass-Fed Rib Eye on the server’s recommendation, as it’s their best-seller. Next time, we might try one of the premium options.

We also ordered the Smoked Pork Ribs, which were quite flavorful. The smoky taste added depth, and we actually found it more enjoyable than the ribs at Mad Mark’s or Rubs.

Our only complaints were about the space and parking. This branch of Escobar’s is quite snug, with tables that feel too small for larger groups. For our family of four, it was a bit challenging to fit all our dishes—even with a modest order—onto the table. We ended up transferring our ribs onto the steak plate to make room. Additionally, parking is limited to just two slots, so it’s difficult to park right in front, especially on weekdays.

Aside from those minor issues, it was an enjoyable and budget-friendly meal for the family. We’d gladly dine at Escobar’s again when the...

Yesterday, we went to Escobar - Caloocan Branch for my husband’s birthday dinner. 6 adults and 3 kids kami.

We ordered the Bundle A + Grassfed Ribeye + USDA Ribeye + Additional Truffle Pasta (kids favorite!)

It was a full house. 20-30 mins before we got seated. Limited seating capacity (i hope you do something about this in the future para madami maka kain and less waiting time) and ventilation is not good (maybe because open kitchen? I’m not sure pero 2 AC naman sa loob but it was hot, my daughter is sweating)

But Kudos to Ate (forgot her name) na naka duty kagabi, even though full house, mainit, madami nag aantay sa labas, naka smile parin siya and it brings different aura sa store!

Will definitely...

Dining at Escobar Steakhouse was an absolute delight, thanks to the exceptional service from Ina and Ella. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They were attentive without being intrusive, making sure our orders were perfect, and that we were comfortable throughout the meal.

Their friendly personalities and professionalism truly elevated the dining experience. It’s rare to find staff who combine efficiency with such warmth and sincerity. Ina and Ella are definite gems of Escobar Steakhouse — their service alone is reason enough...

This is the worst steak and pasta. Went here on for a weekend dinner. No wonder walang tao at kami lang. What a hype on social media. Serving time took 45mins. Why do they cut the steak so thick?! It was like eating rubber! Sobrang tigas! The truffle pasta also tasted stale and soapy. For an almost 2k meal, it was not worth it at all. I cook better. 😔
