i got enticed eating there, as it has been there since 1966 as stated in their signage...
i ordered the ff standards for a chinese type resto:
sweet & sour pork lechon kawali chinese style fried chicken beef ampalaya camaron rebusado bam-i
for the sweet and sour pork, if chowking's s&s pork is a 9... that is a 2... wierdly also, they use liempo for their s&s pork
lechon kawali was as bland and normal u can get, and don't expect even a crunch..
fried chicken is same w/ lechon kawali, totally nothing..
the beef ampalaya was bad... the beef was tougher than rubber... if tony's kitchen is reading this, a simple suggestion of adding a little oyster sauce and sugar to taste a bit chinese and better..
camaron rebusado was one of the worst choices there... it is not camaron but small shrimp waffle... or instead of waffle dog, that's a waffle shrimp... and mind you... aside from the camaron being 80% bread (pancake), the shrimp still has shells..
the bam-i was far from ok too... just full of noodles, with a very few meats and garnishes..
and the WORST was, the orders came after 45 minutes... considering we were the only customers there...
and no parking...
