We visited Choobi Choobi at SM Consolacion for dinner, hoping for the same positive experience we had at their Panagdait Road branch. We ordered garlic fried rice, sisig, shrimp tempura, Chao Tao Miao, calamares, and drinks (shakes and iced tea). Here's a breakdown of the experience:
Food: 4.5/5 The food was delicious, with no complaints in terms of taste or quality. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, and the portions were satisfying.
Service: 2/5 Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff were inattentive, often chatting near the door instead of tending to the customers. Even though it was a slow day, their lack of enthusiasm and engagement was noticeable. We had to wait 25 minutes for our food, which is reasonable, but what made the experience worse was the additional wait to catch the attention of the staff. They didn’t offer help or recommendations, and it felt like they weren’t eager to serve.
Ambiance: 3/5 The atmosphere was typical for a casual dining experience in a mall. Nothing stood out as particularly bad or good.
Suggestions for Improvement: The staff could definitely improve their attentiveness and professionalism, especially on slow days. More proactive service would greatly enhance the customer experience.
