THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW. My family and I went to this new restaurant in Liloan Cebu last September 10 at 06:10 PM. The place is indeed what they called “siargao” vibes, it’s cozy and warm, and feels like you really are in Siargao. But when it comes to their service, food quality and it’s pricing, all are not such a good experience.
We kept asking them to wipe the table so we could settle in, but only one girl cleaned the whole big table all by herself (kudos to ate girl for doing a good job).
We repeatedly followed up with our orders for a few tries, but they arrived 20-30 minutes later. As you can see on the first video, that is what their “chopsuey” looks like, maka walag gana or nakaingon mig unsa ni sya when this arrived. Food quality is not so appealing, (as you can see on the 1st video) that is the only serving of their calamares for 249? All we can say is okay. Their crispy salmon belly is not as good as it looks. See attached video of their prices. All of that costs 1,033 with service charge. Also, please take a look out of your children, pets and everyone as their resto do not have railings or walls that surrounds the resto. Either ma end up sa dagat ang dli mag bantay. All we can say is “this is a charge to experience but definitely not...
Read moreIt had been 2 years since we last saw some old friends, and it was suggested we meet at Hab Hab Café in Liloan as this was central to everyone.
It used to be a place called Papa Kits, which specialised in water sports and outdoor activities. Since Papa Kits closed, it was a perfect venue for a bar or restaurant. Hab Hab Cafe is the ideal business to fill that void.
A good selection of Filipino food is on offer at competitive prices. Various drinks are available at a small bar.
The service was excellent and our order was taken by very polite staff.
The food really had that wow factor. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but I was so wrong. The food looked beautiful.
We had a large number of dishes, all of which came out soon after ordering. The food was fresh and hot and looked and smelled delicious.
The Philippines has no shortage of places to eat, but I would recommend Hab Hab Cafe to anyone in the Liloan...
Read moreSame. Same. When we arrived, I asked if there was an available table for 9. Right in front of us were two tables for 4, but the staff told me “kani nalang duha” while glancing outside at other customers. It felt like they didn’t want to give us those tables because of how we looked — we may have seemed “dugyot” to them. The irony is, we actually arrived riding two cars, but we were still stereotyped based on our appearance or maybe what we wore.
The service was frustrating. Our food was served more than an hour later, and only after constant follow-ups. I even had to ask why other groups who came in later than us were already being served ahead. We were told waiting time was 20–30 minutes, but our food only arrived around 1 hour and 20 minutes later.
The view might be nice, but the overall dining experience was very disappointing. Not...
