We (my girlfriend and I) arrived at Kura Cafe at around today 12:45pm. We were then ushered by our server to the table a little far from the counter area. It only took us a while to choose our order since we already knew what we wanted coming in the restaurant. We then waited for our server to take our order. Unfortunately, it took them a total of 30 minutes to 1 hour to take our order. My girlfriend was getting impatient that she had to approach the counter twice for them to take our order. We noticed that they served the newly arrived customer first before us because the newly arrived customers were nearer the counter. Eventually, the waitress took our order. We ordered 1 hot matcha latte, 1 classic milk tea, 1 nachos, 1 carbonara pasta, and 1 beef tapa. The matcha, classic milk tea, and nachos arrived in 5-10 minutes. Once we were done eating the nachos, we then waited for more than an hour for them to serve our pasta and tapa. Only then did they give us water to drink. Once we were done eating, it was time to get our bill. It took another 15-30 minutes for them to even acknowledge us to give us our bill. Once they gave us our bill, we paid and waited for our change. It took around 10-15 minutes to give us our change, and the staff gave us a semi burnt 50php bill. My girlfriend was worried that no establishment would accept that bill so she had to approach the counter (again) for them to replace that 50php bill. The food and drinks was delicious, but the service, the lack of attentiveness, and the basic common courtesy of them even acknowledging us is below than satisfactory. The food may be delicious, but the overall service...
Read moreWhile the food quality had its highlights — with most dishes flavorful, well-prepared, and served fresh — our overall dining experience was unfortunately overshadowed by poor service and a lack of coordination.
We placed our order at 1:51 PM, but the complimentary bread was neither offered nor mentioned. We had to follow up multiple times, and at 2:05 PM, we were told it was delayed due to a missing ingredient (cinnamon). Surprisingly, the beef salpicao was served at 2:11 PM— ahead of the bread and even the dinner plates, which only arrived afterward. The salpicao itself was tough and rubbery. Upon raising our concern at 2:15 PM, the staff took it back for replacement. Coincidentally, the complimentary bread finally arrived at the same time — far too late to serve its purpose as a starter.
The bowl for our sinigang was served at 2:20 PM, Throughout the experience, service remained inattentive. Despite having three floor staff, responses were slow, and the manager remained behind the counter without offering any support or oversight.
While we appreciated the food and the gesture of replacing the salpicao, good food deserves equally good service. Unfortunately, this visit delivered only one of the two. We hope management addresses these service issues...

Many people recommend this place for its good food quality and relaxing atmosphere. When we arrived, we were warmly accommodated, escorted to our table, and given menus.
When we placed our orders, we were informed that the food would take around 45 minutes to an hour to serve which was fine with us since we weren’t in a rush.
However, the dish we least expected to wait for took more than an hour. They even double-checked our order beforehand, yet somehow, they still missed one of our dishes and said it wasn’t included in our original order.
While they apologized, it affected our experience as we couldn’t fully enjoy the food since we were waiting for everything to be complete.
If only we had eaten the dishes while they were still warm, we might have savored them more. The delay made it harder for us to enjoy the moment, and it affected how we appreciated the food.
To be clear, we’re not saying the food wasn’t delicious, it’s just that the overall experience dampened our excitement.
Also, the comfort room had no available water source. Unfortunately, one of my friends wasn’t able to use it because of this.
Overall, it wasn’t the experience we...
