I would come back for the beverage menu and the ambiance. Coffee, superfood, coolers and cakes. I absolutely love their cheesecakes, Silakbo is my favorite! And that cooler with basil. âŚBut definitely wonât order food off the menu again. They use cheap ingredients - and they put a lot of it. For example this open-faced tacos - they use âchiz boyâ for their cheese. The taco meat didnât have much spices in it. The mayonnaise they used was an âall-purpose dressingâ the fake kind. The tortilla was undercooked. Their buffalo wings were OK but you can tell it wasnât authentic buffalo sauce and used cheap local hot sauce. Their pasta is so-so. Shrimp arabiatta is just OK but could be better. At least they used fresh shrimps.
They could improve a lot on their food. They have huge servings but the quality of the ingredients they use is below par. Iâd understand the price range because of the serving size - but Iâd rather want to have quality ingredients on my food and just the right amount than have too much of everything in a plate that doesnât taste good at all. Sayang. They could have used quality ingredients and charge a little more...
Read moreCheese cakes are served warm. Should be refrigerated. When the issue was mentioned to the server, the immediate answer was it was freshly baked :D Coffee was served scalding hot. Should have been served around 60C to 80C. Coffee is to be served 12 min according to the order taker. I asked why because it should not take that long as there were not too many people. He just answered there were many orders. I just thought maybe their Astoria machine is not working. Seems to be the case because they are only using it for steaming milk when we were there. Price is a tad upscale. Does not suit the location. All open air. All outside seating even if the location where it is is usually hot and humid. Pets are allowed everywhere. No specific area for those who brought in their pets. All dogs...
Read moreSuch a nice hidden secret in the middle of nowhere hahah. Whimsical atmosphere, very appropriate for its name: Hiwaga Cafe. Every nook and cranny was so pretty and well thought of. I also love that it's open until midnight, i think it adds more whimsy to the place.
Plus, they're super pet-friendly! Literally all the staff are friendly to our pet. They asked for our girl's name and even petted her. Hahah.
Food was also very filling! Price is reasonable. Given the servings and the ingredients. Except for the pizza! The pizza was SUUUUPER CHEAP, in my opinion! Only 200+ for a large size pizza in other pizza places. It can serve maybe 2-4pax.
I also love that they have healthy options for food...
