A HOLE-IN-THE-WALL CAFE TUCKED QUIETLY IN THE SECOND STORY OF ANOTHER RESTO?!

PROS: The menu looked super interesting! It looked like it was well-thought of.

Their branding was also so consistent and nice ☺️ makes for good social media marketing~ kung saan ko sila nakita,thru sponsored ads hahaha.

I really liked that their plates and utensils were all eco-friendly!! How thoughtful~

The coffee was also masarappp~ interesting selection of drinks! And nakakagising talaga ng diwa 😆 we ordered the azure drink which is coffee with butterfly pea? Basta may bluish layer sya, hahah so instagrammable. And the taste doesn't disappoint as well! Just make sure to mix it all together. Hahah. My BF also said their vietnamese coffee was good! Matapang, kaya kang ipaglaban hahah.

And of course, THE FOOD! We ordered bagnet kare-kare! Angganda ng presentation na deconstructed kare-kare sya. Para madidissect mo rin each ingredient and what it brings to the dish. Super sarap ng peanut sauce!! And the veggies were cooked just right!! ☺️

Altho the bagnet was a little over-fried, but they were super gracious enough to offer to make it up to us when we brought it to their attention. So needless to say, customer service is also top-notch!

CONS?: I guess, only downside was that their location? It was pretty hidden from sight, and the access to their spot upstairs is through the stairs of a different resto. Hahah But maybe that also adds to the charm? It's a hidden gem that makes you feel like you're discovering it for the first time, which makes you want to spread the word to the world hahah. "I discovered a new hole-in-the-wall in Cavite!" Hahah 😆😅

And there weren't a lot of seating available too, but it also feels like the cafe was exclusive to us. Since we were the only customers hahaha.

So i guess, that can be a con or a pro, depends on how you look at it. Hahaha.

For sure, We'll be coming back to try out other stuff in the menu! Plus they said they release secret menus in their IG stories and FB page from time to time. So that's something to look forward to as well.

Second time visiting Second Story Café in Kawit, Cavite. The food here is absolutely superb, and the prices are super reasonable for the quality you're getting. I mean, everything feels like it was prepared with so much thought and love, cooked and prepped by a certified chef, so you're definitely not getting ordinary dishes here.

First of all, I’m obsessed with their 4-Cheese Artisan Pizza (not your typical round pizza)—it’s cheesy in all the right ways, and you can tell the ingredients are top-notch. Then there’s the Salted Egg Chicken (they have it in pork too!) every time we go here, had to make sure we order this. If you're into spicy, the Nashville Chicken is definitely a must try! Also loved their fried kesong puti salad.

Not really a fan of coffee so I always order their Mermaid's Lemonade. It’s so refreshing and different—if only they sold it in 1-liter bottles, I’d definitely buy it. Their menu also has the classic silog meals, which is perfect if you're craving something more traditional, but honestly, everything I tried was just next-level in both flavor and presentation. All I can say is "Ang sarap".

All in all, I’ll definitely be back. Second Story Café gives you that mix of comfort food with a gourmet twist, and I can’t...

We found a little haven in Cavite called Second Story 🥹💖 It’s been just 2 weeks since we stumbled upon it — and from the moment we stepped in, we felt safe, seen, and so at home.

As an LGBTQ+ couple, finding places that truly welcome you is rare… but this one? It embraced us. The space may be small, but the warmth is overflowing. We came back the following Friday — and the owner remembered us 🥺 Just from that short convo the first time.

Their food? Not loud, not trying hard — just real, comforting, and full of heart. Like I told my partner, it’s that kind of meal where every bite feels like a “chef’s kiss” — simple, honest, perfect. And the cherry on top? It’s pet friendly 🐾 Hi again, Caramelloooo 🐶💕 Chowder 😻

This place is more than a café. It’s a reminder that kindness and community still exist — even in the simplest corners.
