Kuya J - SM City Cauayan — Restaurant in Isabela

I have been to Kuya J Restaurant before but on some other branches. This is the first time that I have been to its SM Cauayan Branch. We arrive there at around 2pm. I think we were that 4th customer there. So there are a lot of empty seats. I am with my mom who is a senior so I wanted to have a seat comfortable for her. So I chose the couch. I told the waiter that I wanted to seat on an empty couch. She insisted that since its just the 2 of us, we should be seating on a chair not a couch. I started to get irritated so I told her, well I am not leaving since no other customers are coming in anyway. When I told her that she got out of my hair and lets us seat on the couch. This is when I started noticing the dirty tables all around us that no one is attending. The dirty floors and even their rest room smells! So now I can’t even start to imagine what their kitchen would look like and how they serve the food. Now, I’m not hungry...

We had our late lunch today and ordered two sets of solo meals(grilled pork and veggies and kare kare) and two regular ube cheese halo halo. The food was okay, but not really amazing. The waiter informed us upon ordering that the soup which should be part of the solo meal was currently unavailable, I said it was okay. Then our orders arrived after 30 minutes of waiting. Some side dishes like the kropek and the peanuts are served along with the halo halo (idk why). Halo halo was really good.

In terms of cleanliness, the area was not tidy, maybe because it's around 3pm already. There are a few flies dining with us. The restroom is not tidy too and no bidet.

So we decided to eat lunch at kuya j's with my father. And the first thing that got my attention was the uncleaned tables. Then the waitress gave the menu and nagorder kami ng food. Nung naka decide na kami on what to order, kumaway ako sa waitress pero d nya ako nakita. Imagine 3 meters away lng kami sa counter. Then nakita ko yung I think manager nila and kumaway din ako para umorder. Imbes na ngumiti man lang sya samin knowing na customer naman kami, nakasimangot sya and tinawag nya lng yung waitress para pumunta samin. Then we got our order and ate our lunch, the food was good naman. But the waitress and other employees there are NOT FRIENDLY and they are NOT EVEN SMILING. After namin kumain nag ask kami for the bill sa waitress pero parang wala syang naririnig. Hindi nakatiis si papa pumunta sya sa cashier to ask for the bill, and guess what. D sya namansin or tumingin man lang. Nung nainis si papa pumunta na lang sya sa table namin. And biglang lumapit yung mismong cashier para ibigay yung bill. So meaning narinig nya papa ko but she intended na hindi mamansin. After ko ibigay yung bayad 1k, and by the way yung food namin is worth 945php. Wala daw syang change kaya binigyan nya ako ng 100php and bigyan ko nlng daw sya ng 45php. Like wth? Lunch time yun and marami silang customer wala silang 55php na change? Wala akong 45php sa wallet ko kaya we decided na ibigay na lang yung 100php na inabot nya. WORST RESTAURANT THAT I'VE ENCOUNTERED!! PORKET BA CASUAL LANG SUOT NAMIN NUNG TIME NA YUN AT HINDI PANG MAYAMAN DATINGAN NAMIN? Dapat itreat nila lahat ng custumers EQUALLY. Kasi nakita ko naman sila kung pano nila itreat yung ibang custumer na sa tingin nila mayaman, ang bait nila. Thank you sa mga personnels ng KUYA J's CAUAYAN BRANCH.
