I really really wanted this place to be good, or at least decent--the food, I mean. The design and decor is really fantastic. Perhaps even better than almost any new bistro/resto in Iloilo. The service is fine as well, and friendly. Stopped by on a quiet Sunday evening after a day going around the island. The nachos at least were presented well. They just lacked toppings. I also found it odd that the chips were made out of molo wrappers instead of corn. There wasn't much of a salsa, and it was drizzled in Cheez Wiz and Mayo Wiz (I just made this up.) For the homemade cheese sticks, I was expecting something looking like mozzarella sticks. They were more like skinny deep fried turron sticks with an evaporated milk dipping sauce. No trace of cheese. And more like a dessert. The main dish, the tuna with lemon, was by far the most disappointing. Overcooked by at least 5 minutes, having the texture of overcooked pork. It was also a very small portion and had a strong fishy smell--definitely not very fresh. It should not have been served. They had about 8 beers to choose from, but they were the standard factory beers you see at a lot of gastropubs in the Philippines. No local craft to speak of. In terms of liquor, it looks like you have to buy a bottle. No single cocktails. I'm really confused that the owner put so much effort into building the place but then hired bad cooks. I could cook tuna better...

We called into Olivia's for a light lunch my wife had the prawn soup which she said was okay and quite tasty,

I opted for the fish & chips which turned out to be a very bad choice on my part. The fries were okay but I have never been to a restaurant that could mess up fries so no complaints about those.

The fish turned out to be 3 hard lumps of crispy breadcrumb type batter I think? it looked like it had been cooked about 3 times in a deep fat frier it was so hard to eat and it broke into pieces when I did.

I eventually get into it. Inside was a very thinly sliced of fish hardly noticeable between the exceptionally large clump of whatever it was.

I thought maybe it was just that piece but when I tried the other two they we're the same vertually no fish inside at all just a big lump of of crispy something not quite sure what it was.

Definitely will not be bothering to order again if I ever should of return.

The ambiance was good and service was satisfactory but the food was very poor reheated fish stuck inside a clump of over cooked hard chrispy batter??? definitely...

When you come in, it's looking like a European/American cafe that's awesome, so you feel a little kind of like home, but it's cut to be better with some background music. The personal welcome you when you walk in and show you to your table, which is good. Anyhow, we ordered a grilled chicken burger with fries and munti cristo, which is sandwiches where there also came fries. The chicken was so dry, and i needed to rib of every bit, and it had no taste at all, so buring and the fries on the to plates were not finished, but the sandwiches were great 👍 anyway when it seems like the personal are so busy with many things els then the customers because we try to get the bill long time so it was first when I was on the way to the counter they reacted and wanted to come with the bill but to late I was with the cashier and paying but they had no change at all so waiting almost 15 min for change 🙃 any how maybe I will come back for the...

My family and I recently had a delightful dining experience at Olivia's Kitchen. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a warm and rustic ambiance that made us feel right at home. The menu offered a variety of tempting dishes, and we couldn't resist trying the bulalo soup, chopsuey, Pampanga sisig, and chiraron bulaklak. Each dish was a flavor-packed masterpiece, and the generous portions ensured we left feeling satisfied. While the chiraron bulaklak was a delicious indulgence, it's definitely worth noting for those with gout. Beyond the fantastic food, Olivia's Kitchen also impressed us with its clean and well-maintained facilities, including a beautiful restroom with a bidet. Overall, our experience at Olivia's Kitchen was exceptional. With its delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and attentive service, it's a must-visit for anyone looking for a satisfying and memorable meal. I would highly recommend it and give it an 8/10 rating.
