The Mango Island Cafe — Restaurant in Jordan

I recently visited Mango Island Cafe in Guimaras, and overall, I had a decent experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made my visit enjoyable.

I tried the mango shake, which I must admit, wasn't as good as I expected. It lacked the tangy taste of fresh mangoes and tasted too sweet for my liking. However, the roasted chicken was well-cooked and flavorful, but a little bland for my taste.

The blue marlin was okay, but the broccoli that came as a side was undercooked, which was a little disappointing. Despite the minor issues with the food, I found the prices to be quite reasonable, which was a plus.

The location and ambiance of the cafe were very good. The cafe has a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, and the outdoor seating area provides a beautiful view of the surrounding area.

Mainit. Although may aircon it was still hot inside (due to type of structure). Location - accessible, with parking lot. No ramp may slight na step (like 1 lang ) Food choices- they have an a la cart menu with diverse choices compared sa other restos /cafe sa guimaras. They have hefty serving accomodating ang staff

But we ordered a mango pizza with chorizo for take out at around 1:20 pm and they forgot the order. We followed up and they just responded “sige” we then waited for another 20 mins. I followed again and was assured that it will be out in 5 mins it is now 1 hour since we ordered and it still not yet out.

Overall the experience was disappointing. We only order a pizza, a shake and I expected somewhat a fast service time since its one of their specialties.

I hope they improve on their communication between FOH and BOH. Especially their customers are tourists visiting the island and they will only probably visit once (most of the tourists) so their (the other dinners) and our first experience with them will be the first and might be the last and this is the experience they delivered😭

Tbh. Nakakainit ng ulo, mainit na nga nakalimutan...

The worst service. We ordered a freshly squeezed calamansi and passionfruit juice (as advertised on the menu as freshly made from fruit) without sugar and got a sweeeeeet af drink. We kindly asked to prepared it again without sugar and the waitress took the drink off the table and brought it back 5 min later, the exact same drink. With our straw still inside… :D obviously we did not drink it (did she think we would not notice?l) and when I talked to another waitress and explained, they made us a new drink, this time no sugar but also no passion fruit. So they clearly do not freshly squeeze anything. False advertisement and disappointing. The mango cake was really yummy though, we also had a mango float which was a nice ice cream with mango sauce and graham crackers and some good grilled chicken and sweet potato fries. Coffee was okay, not good or bad. The sugar free hazelnut frappe was missing the advertise ice cream. So it’s a mix with the food and drinks - some is good, some is not. Service was a...
