okay. i went here for a momentary respite from the rain at around 3pm, so maybe it was their off day as well, but here is an honest review considering that any establishment should display peak performance at any given time.

i ordered a french vanilla latte and a monte cristo sandwich (under snacks). the coffee was good. as for the snack, maybe it's not their specialty, i get that. but the waiter had no idea what it was, and that is generally a problem. i had to specify it was a sandwich under snacks. they had to substitute the ham with chicken because they ran out. sure, i'm fine with that. things happen. but then they gave me a sandwich that was mostly burnt. i ate as much of the burnt half as possible because i am NOT an advocate for wasting food, but this bit was just intolerable (see photo).

their chips were the saving grace of the dish. i suggest you take it out of your menu if it is not in line with your brand. i do not intend to toot my own horn, but i am a novice home cook and my monte cristos were better than this.

suggestion for improvement: sweeter bread. generally, the layers are composed of french toast, cheese, ham. sauce is up to you, but the mayonaise was a devious addition you could have opted without. try a honey drizzle next time.

also, i'm not sure if i am not used to the general demeanor of la trinidad restaurant staff, but people go places to eat; not to confront oddly judgemental looks from the staff that are probably bored. but even then, there is a better way to alleviate that than gawk at a customer.

just weird vibes from the staff. if you think you are overqualified for your job or that you should be elsewhere doing "better things that are worth your time", then go. you feel like you should be walking the runway? go. try it out. they are also the opposite of eager to serve their customers. if your customer isn't chatty or expressive, you should still do your job instead of "returning the energy".

call it accusatory or conspiratory, but i feel like they let my sandwich burn because they didn't like my demeanor. i can say this by the obvious shift in the waiter's treatment after a few interactions in which i did not SMILE AND SUCK UP.

do NOT go into customer service if you are petty. i would take down that single star from the ratings for service if i could.

atmosphere: okay. bright, ventilated, not too crowded. but it smelled like paint. maintenance, perhaps. try closing next time if you keep this up. withholding a word of profanity or two was...

Quick review: had a short program at their great room/ hall. They were kind enough to let us have a great deal with just a few snacks. Audio, mic and speakers are available and working perfectly, toilets are available. The hall can or may cater up to 150 or 200 guests, parking is available at the front and the rear of the property. Interiors wise, a small renovation of patching especially the ceiling would make the place look better and classy. Still, would come back to try on...

This is my fourth visit to this restaurant. As always, I ordered my all-time favorite, beef ampalaya rice. However, it seems that today there is more ampalaya than beef(nabibilang hehe). I really enjoy this dish because it reminds me of home, although I suppose the cooking varies with different chefs on duty hence the more ampalaya today. 😊 I also ordered Inglay favorite’s salad featuring sliced apples, mango, lettuce, and more. I find it quite enjoyable to chew; the...
