She appeared to be annoyed by this, as she started acting all attitude towards us, making the situation even more uncomfortable. After finalizing the order, we headed to the counter where another staff member told us that we had mistakenly ordered two of the same item, one without toppings and a drink. We explained that this was because the initial staff member handled the ordering process poorly. While resolving this, the counter staff also exhibited unprofessional behavior, such as signaling my brother not to speak by abruptly raising her hand in a "stop" gesture. Her approach felt dismissive and unapproachable, which further soured our experience. Compared to the lively and energetic service we have always experienced at other restaurants like McDonald's and Jollibee, this interaction was disappointing. Since we received coupons from a Chow King staffer on the way there, we decided to avail the discounts. It was packed and tight inside the branch but the air-con was strong enough to accomodate different parts of the interior with the current crowd.
FOOD Pork Chao Fan with Siomai was a bit salty but delicious. I actually missed the taste of their simple food choices and the Iced Tea was big thanks to the free upsize to medium.
