Went here days ago. Did not take much photos of what we ordered but they serve plenty of what we chose to eat. My lola said everything was all good except the leche flan, she wants it very soft and their flan is okay for us but a but lacks softness. For me, everything is also good, I especially like the paco salad, although the salted egg is really not enough for me on that serving plate but still the paco itself is plenty enough.
We ordered the following with my own ratings: KALDERETANG KAMBING: 7/10 (not a fan of kambing meat) NILAGANG BAKA: 8/10 (my lola commended this, she really liked it) PACO SALAD: 9/10 (I just think it lacks salted egg talaga for its price but I enjoyed it) LECHE FLAN: 8/10 (I think it's okay but since our lola did not really like it I'll leave it 8) SISIG: 7/10 (I don't know. I just thought it should have tasted better.) CHOPSUEY: 6/10 I did not like the sarsa T-T I was looking forward to chopsuey pa naman but I don't seem to feel the feels and the vegies does not seem fresh din. Can see black edges sa cabbage and I know the taste of vegetables na di fresh as a gulay enthusiast. BOWL OF RICE: Enough when you are not so much hungry.
I did not want to say this na, pero I hope the employees are much more enthusiastic, they seem to hate the job. I can't judge them by what I observed though, pero it also bothers the customers kasi or am I just super sensitive? but I'll keep the details of this experience to myself, even though my ate also...
Read moreComing from Los Baños in the south and from the very slow traffic along Skyway Stage 3, we decided to grab lunch at Lola Ima, Petron Lakeshore before heading back home to Baguio. Surprisingly, they have new varieties for their binalot meals. I’ve always told friends to try Lola Ima when they get the chance to pass through Pampanga. The food had always been good and the leche flan is supreme and budget good. We ordered binalot and some drinks. Binalot arrived. Rice was uncooked so we had to call the attention of the staff, a senior staff came by, apologized and took back our binalot. Binalot came back. Freshly wrapped and then lo and behold, one of the binalot had “ipis!” Called the attention of the staff again, showed the ipis. She took back the binalot with ipis but we lost our appetite and told the staff to take back all the food and cancel the order. Another senior staff came by, was very apologetic and offered to replace the food. He was even gracious to offer our ordered drinks for free (but we paid for them anyway.) I may never order food again at Lola Ima but will still come back for their leche flan :-) Ended up dining at Nathaniels at the SM City Clark. Nathaniels never fails us with their palabok, siomai, and...
Read moreThis review is based on our last visit and limited to the food that we ordered that time.
Atmosphere - the first thing a customer will see and feel when entering any establishmment is the atmosphere. 5 stars for its coziness and for the instagramable corners.
Food - Freshly prepared, tastes good, but nothing remarkable since only ordered pancit (family size). I wish to try other dishes next visit. Service size is generous, pricing is reasonable.
Service - Could be improved. Maybe I am just used to being greeted at the entrance and ushered to the table or maybe I was just expecting too much because of the coziness of the place. Despite having quite a number of servers present in the area, they are not attentive enough that we have to call them (literally raise our hands) when we were ready to take our order. We also have to catch their attention twice when we asked for a service water. It’s as if they are busy with something else other than providing service to their customers. I would suggest to have the staff undergo customer service seminar for improvement of...
