Bistro Maloleño — Restaurant in Malolos

Want to give them 5 starts because I personally think they are underrated - food here is great but service is not. Bistro Maloleño has one of the worst service among Bulacan restaurants. We arrived and there was no guest, only us, and took them a long time before someone approached us and give us menu or take our orders. Our table is not clean. The other waiters are just wacthing a noontime show. This is not the first time we went here and all of the time, they provide very bad service. Only reason we keep coming back is the food. Might get tired about that too.

Too bad because this place is promising. Ironically, they have catering service and I cant imagine what kind of service they are...

From an almost 1.5-hour drive from Manila, searching for a place to eat in Malolos, we found Bistro Maloleño. The restaurant was about to close when we got to the place but surprisingly we were still accomodated by the staffs. We had the "Nilagang Manok sa Puti na may Asparagus" and "Pinaso" for dessert. The Nilagang Manok was served hot, just about right for our hungry stomach though we were expecting to see shoots of long white asparagus on it just like what's on the photos, nonetheless it tastes really good and the sweet and starchy pinaso concluded the night. We tried the 200php buffet per head (approx $4) refreshments & dessert included. Just wow. It's great value for a really versatile menu. That amount is something you can easily exceed on a hungry night at a fast food chain. The dining experience is much like what you'd expect when your eating on a debutante's party (or at least that's how I feel about it) and it's a compliment because I like most debut buffets save for the tight-budgeted ones where servers choose your serving size.
