I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. I was born in the US but I have spent a lot of time with my family in Italy and I know what Italian food should taste like. After moving to Camiguin I was told there was an amazing Italian restaurant on the island and I was very very skeptical about that considering where we are and how difficult and expensive it is to get many of the ingredients required for Italian food. The first time I went here I was blown away by how good the food was and how surreal it was to be eating something that tasted like Italy while in Camiguin. I did not have a chance to meet the owners that time but the staff was very friendly and I loved the atmosphere and location so after trying every restaurant on this island I determined it is hands down the best. Unfortunately it’s not close to where I live which is my only complaint 😂 The second time I went I met the owners who are incredibly friendly, charming, and kind. The food was even better that night. It almost feels like some sort of sorcery to be eating such delicious and authentic Italian food in a remote location in the...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about Sapore Restaurant in Mambajao, Camiguin. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by lush greenery, setting the stage for a meal you won't forget. The owners, Ilenia and Stefano, are the heart and soul of this place, and it shows. The love they pour into each dish is palpable, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients they use.
Now, let's talk food. Each dish is a culinary masterpiece—fresh, authentic, and downright delicious. Trust me when I say you haven't lived until you've tried their pasta. It's like a hug for your taste buds!
But the experience doesn't end with the meal. The staff are super attentive and genuinely care about your dining experience. The ambiance? Simply magical. It's no wonder this place is the best restaurant on the island in our books.
Before you leave, do yourself a favor and pick up some of their homemade jams and local honey. They're sold as "Pasalubong," or souvenirs, and trust me, you'll want to take a little piece of Sapore home with you.
All in all, Sapore Restaurant is a must-visit. Five glowing...

The table service was like Parisian level attitude and lacked any real island charm.
My bill was 1650 pesos for two (not unreasonable) yet they told me they charge 50 pesos for ice to fill my tumbler.
The ice was 5 pesos at the store nearby.
They had good jazz though and the...
