The pizza is fairly good. Service is haphazard - poor training and management fails to enact suggestions.
Although they have a soda fountain, the staff is ignorant on its use - they don't know how to get soda water from the soda fountain, which is stupid since the staff used to know how to do it last year. FACT: Every soda fountain can serve both filtered water AND soda water IN ADDITION to the sugary soda drinks. I prefer soda water with my meals because I like the bubbles but don't want any sugar.
Staff doesn't know what ingredients are in the food. When I told the waitress that I cannot eat mushrooms and asked if there were any in the Lasagna, instead of honestly saying "I don't know, let me find out for you" she instead LIED by telling me what she THOUGHT I wanted to hear by saying "no". After two bites I discovered that there ARE mushrooms in the Lasagna, and as a result of her error I was sick for a week!
The Greek salad is way too salty. I like Greek salad, but this is rediculously salty. So if you have high blood pressure, stay away from the Greek salad. I asked them to not put any salt in it, and they said that they don't. So either it's in the dressing or it's like the mushrooms - they just say what they think you want to hear and give you what you don't want.
This is a BIG problem in the Philippines: When a Filipino doesn't know the answer to a question, instead of admitting that they don't know many will just lie to you by TELLING YOU WHAT THEY THINK YOU WANT TO HEAR. It's part of the Philippine culture, but it's very dangerous when you have a food allergy!
I have great respect for the Filipinos who honestly admit that they don't know the answer to my question, but I cannot respect the ones who lie to me just because they don't want to be seen as ignorant. Lying is far worse than ignorance. Managers have to make their employees aware of this, and dictate that if employees cannot answer a customer's question correctly, then they must ask...
Read moreMushroom soup not available on a friday, too bad. The only reason why i go to this place still. My family is a semi regular, wait time is always beyond 15minutes either before we get seated or be given the menu. Often than not, need to call staff attention. I have to ask for a consideration when i have my kid along for them to do better with serving time. Just so lil choice for a fine dining place in the city for a family beside a chicken menu on fastfoods, so we go here. I got my Only consolation on a peak holiday valentines, as told no shakes were offered but my kid got a strawberry.paid for of course and that made up for other occassions, thus we still go back. I can only hope for an improvement in the...
Read moreWe arrived at the store around 6:30 PM on September 14, 2025, and placed our order directly. The waitress informed us to expect a 30-35 minute wait. Sadly, I had to follow up after an hour, and our order was finally served at 7:45 PM. To make matters worse, the pizza was very cold. When we asked the waitress, she explained that the pizza had been cooked earlier but was served last. We’ve always loved eating at Shakey’s, but I’m afraid this will be the last time we visit this restaurant. During our previous visit, the food and staff were great, but this experience was the worst we’ve ever had. Our bill totaled ₱3,800, and we were completely unsatisfied with both the food quality...
