I enjoyed the flavors of this food despite scant ingredients. The cook and service were very good.
We ordered Laksa which had a coconut foundation very strong in ginger and I believe lemon grass with about 1/2 c vermicelli noodles, a few small bits of chicken to equal about 1/2 a thigh, about 1/2 c tofu and a fish ball. There was one tiny delicious green (cilantro?) leaf which added a wonderful shot of flavor to that spoon of soup. We spent P58 extra to include shrimp and got 2 small seemingly boiled shrimp added with no apparent flavor change. Upon seeing the thin soup we added rice to our meal. I originally didn't like the soup but it grew on me. I felt I would particularly enjoy it during rainy season.
We also ordered Char Kay Teow. This came with flat noodles, 1 rice ball, 2 small shrimp, and perhaps a teaspoon or less of sausage spread amongst the delicious soy based sauce.
