Elixir Cafe — Restaurant in Olongapo

TL;DR: I started going out and writing again because of Elixir—at the confluence of only the best reasons. Matcha. Tekken matches. Meaningful meetups. — I only meant to check them out at first because, per my research (albeit not thorough), their café is the only coffee place in Olongapo with a gaming lounge. To my surprise, it's so much more than just good ol' Tekken (plus Netflix and many more games!). The entire menu is amazing. (Un)fortunately, I'm someone who's easily satisfied when it comes to food and beverages (as evident by my ever-growing waistline). And I've tried nearly everything (almost done with my personal checklist)—and loved every sip and bite. But I am only human, so I have my favorites: Premium Matcha and Pesto Pasta—nudging past Black Honey and Egg Sandwich by a small margin.

I am in no way credible to talk about design, but their overall vibe is unique—mustard walls on one side, bright orange on the other, and striking green in the middle, a bold choice to steer away from the usual white and beige palette. The outside? A simple concrete structure, with "Heal yourself with a cup of coffee" plastered on the grey wall.

But the people—the baristas, the chef, the patrons, the entire foundation—they're the best part of the café. A completely diverse group of caffeine connoisseurs, stylish crowd, professionals—all of which I'm the antithesis of (no sophisticated sense of taste, no sense of fashion, and no sense of direction), yet somehow never made to feel like an outsider.

It was my first time here last night, and I'm so glad we decided to hang out here. Turns out Elixir Cafe has a second floor with gaming consoles, and get this, the cherry on top: CATS!!! 🐈🐈‍⬛

My friends and I are suckers for our furry feline friends and we just love they're people cats.

Oh did I mention their best seller? Seasalt Latte OVERLOAD! I'll have this the next time I come back. The baristas are super friendly too!

I don't really review here but this place is really worth writing about. I'm a coffee enthusiast and this place has met my needs. They have good coffee (I ordered a flat white and was also served pour-over coffee from two types of beans) and the people are so friendly, you can actually talk to them about nerdy coffee stuff. Definitely a must go to cafe in Olongapo!
