Sefina's Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Olongapo

Before Sefina’s was renovated, we loved the place. The food, the service — everything was spot on. It quickly became one of our go-to spots. But ever since the Gordon Avenue branch was renovated, everything changed and not for the better.

We visited again on 06/11/25 at 3PM, placed our orders, and from there, the experience went completely downhill. We waited a full hour for just 3 dishes. As a repeat customer, I know for a fact that those dishes don’t take that long to prepare — especially when the restaurant wasn’t even packed. There was no valid excuse for the delay.

While waiting, we were seated at a dirty table that had just been used by previous customers right by the entrance. Why? Because every other empty table was also dirty and unwiped, and flies were everywhere. We had to choose the least disgusting option, but even that was a compromise. The place may look nice and “aesthetic” after the renovation, but what’s the point when cleanliness is completely neglected? It was downright unhygienic and unacceptable.

Worse, during the entire hour we waited, no staff member cleaned a single table. Three different tables were left filthy. And when our food finally arrived, after one follow-up, the server even tried to serve it on the same dirty table. We had to ask him to clean it first. That’s basic service. It’s not a request, it should be standard practice.

The kitchen bell rang multiple times, but not once did any of the staff show urgency to serve the food. The food was good but there was a total lack of awareness, urgency, and respect for the customers' time.

The food is great, the location and ambiance is okay. I am a fan of their food, but I experienced the first ever inconvenience with them. I paid 500 pesos for a 190 worth of food, and did not receive any change as the person on the cashier is insisiting that he already gave me my change. I wish the CCTV was reviewed, but I did not bother to...

This cafe is very unassuming. It doesn't look lux but the pastries - my gosh! High end quality!

We stayed at a nearby hotel for a quick stop and we were so lucky that this cafe was close by otherwise we wouldn't have discovered it especially coming from out of town.

The moment you step in the cafe, you are greeted by a line up of delicious looking pastries! You know how some pastries look good but then you take a bite and it's dry as heck and disappointing? Not this one! It tastes just as good as it looks!

The only downside is that a beggar came in and bothered us...
