Sal’s Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Ormoc

One word YUK! I'm not sure how they operate with a menu and a lot of the items are not available. WHAT! Japanese not available! Shrimp not available! Sushi not available! The only dressing for a Salad is mayonnaise! WHAT! The biggest surprise was when the Pineapple Shake wasn't available. WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! The owner of the restaurant owns the Pineapple plantation 5 kilometers away. WOW! WOW! WOW! A new customer would view this place as a nice restaurant from just looking at it from the outside and decor. Unfortunately the food selection SUCKS and SO DOES THE FOOD THAT YOU CAN ORDER. WHAT! CLOSE...

Would have love to eat at the restaurant but was turned off by the customer service. When we were given the menu, the server did not inform us that almost half the menu was not available. They did not tell us until we were ready to order. And even when were trying to get our order, the staff seemed hesitant to come to us. In the end, half the items that I wanted to order was not available. I just decided that was not the place I wanted to eat. Maybe if the server was more upfront with what was available from the beginning, I would have stayed. Maybe I’ll try again...

The time we got there there was a big party going on. But the restaurant was open to the public. Nobody received incoming guests. Waiters took waaay too long to clean the tables and take orders from newly seated customers (while the effin tables were dirty mind you). Waiters/Serves were definitely ignorning customers at the time. Frankly they should have just closed for the day if they can't handle having a private function and a restaurant at the same freakin time. It's a double thumbs down from me.
