Review: Pleasant Experience at Pad's Kamayan with Room for Improvement
Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3 out of 5 stars)
My recent dining experience at Pad's Kamayan had its ups and downs, but let's start with the positive aspects.
The food at Pad's Kamayan was undeniably great, with the sisig being a standout dish that I thoroughly enjoyed. The menu offered a delightful selection, and the flavors were on point, making it a satisfying culinary experience.
Adding to the charm of the place, the presence of adorable kittens coming out from the tables and seeking food was an endearing touch. The friendly nature of the staff added to the overall positive ambiance, and their excellent service deserved the gratuity we left as a token of appreciation.
The use of a projector for ambiance is an innovative idea, which I found intriguing and added a unique touch to the dining experience.
Now, onto the aspects that need improvement:
One of the most notable drawbacks was the presence of a shirtless man, seemingly wandering around aimlessly. Such a sight can be discomforting and has the potential to affect the dining atmosphere negatively.
The choice of Chinese lanterns as the primary lighting option might not be ideal for a restaurant setting, as it can impact the overall mood and visual appeal. Additionally, external factors such as bright lights from passing cars may have interfered with the dining experience.
The music selection didn't resonate with my taste, and I believe opting for more ambient music, or even incorporating tracks from popular shows like Steven Universe, could create a more enjoyable and soothing environment.
Furthermore, the presence of homeless kids waiting outside, persistently seeking food, can be distracting and unsettling for diners. Addressing this issue and providing a safe and comfortable environment for all patrons should be a priority.
Regarding the food, while the soup tasted good, its spiciness might be too much for some diners. Offering options for varying spice levels could cater to a broader range of preferences.
Lastly, the observation of something off with the taste of the water is concerning. Ensuring the quality and cleanliness of the water served is crucial for the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, my rating for Pad's Kamayan stands at 3 out of 5 stars. There are undoubtedly positive aspects to appreciate, but certain aspects need attention to make the dining experience more enjoyable and comfortable for all guests. I might consider returning in the future, hoping to see positive changes implemented to address the...
Read moreOn the day a very good eateria with a lot of dishes. Real tasty, you will love it even if you are a foreigner with higher expectations. At the evening it changes to a bar with music and meeting people. The current chairs are extremely uncomfortable, you will not sit there for longer time. But even by this, it is a great place in Panabo, Day and night. The Price for the food is high, without any beer or something like this we paid 1.3K Pesos for 3 Persons. But because it is tasty, fresh, and hot (damn hot! Be warned!), we don't regret to pay. Better pay more for good instead of paying less for bad. The CR is ... mhhh.... not tooo bad, compared to other Philippine style CR. They can easily improve here,...
