This is a decent Chinese restaurant, but David’s Teahouse and Luk Yuen are clearly better.
The staff were pleasant, but the restaurant’s L-shaped layout made it hard to get their attention. Most of them stayed near the cash register, which isn’t visible from many tables.
Beef Brisket Noodle – The soup was a bit salty, and at ₱340 (as of May 2025), the portion felt small for the price.
Assorted Cold Cuts – Disappointing. The mix (kikiam, lechon macau, century egg, pork asado, and jellyfish) felt skimpy and overpriced. David’s and Luk Yuen do this dish much better.
Beef with Broccoli Flower – This is the best dish we ordered here. A well-executed classic. The beef was tender and flavorful, with a nice umami balance.
Shrimp Siomai – My wife found it gamey. I didn’t mind it, but I’ve had better.
Hong Kong Iced Milk Tea – Light, pleasantly mild, and clearly brewed—not powdered. One of the better items we had.
Overall, it’s a serviceable option, but if you’re after better food and value, David’s Teahouse and Luk Yuen are better...
Read moreGiving this branch one star for several reasons. Couldn’t reach them thru all the phone numbers I found online, even the ones posted on their website, not even on Facebook they replied. Had to drop by the restaurant to reserve a table. The day of my reservation, they said I don’t have any reservation. 🥴 Good thing there were a number of free tables. Since we were a big group, I opted for a group meal. The waiter informed us that 2 items in the package weren’t available and so they will substitute it with another, to which I agreed. Lo and behold, there were several more unavailable items. Had to change orders at least 4 times. How can they not coordinate this properly? 🥲 Waiter informed us they’re closing at 8:45, so they shut the AC while we were there just because they were closing soon. Food was good, but highly don’t recommend this branch for the amount of inconvenience...
Read moreFood quality is typical to other Hap Chan branches. What we ordered: Hakaw: Not fresh. Somewhat gritty and served cold. Wonton Soup: Okay. Yang Chow: Tastes okay. Has eggshells, good thing we don't have any kids along. Lemon Chicken: Somewhat dry.
We arrived 8:20ish and were immediately seated. It took around 10 mins before our order was taken, another 5 to be served water. We were informed that waiting time is 40 mins, to which we said okay. Almost an hour later another waiter approached us and ask us to repeat order. Turns out they didn't inform the kitchen at all! Receipt shows order was placed past 9 pm. We were half a mind to just cancel the entire thing. Servers would avoid eye contact even though they noticed us raising our hands for follow up. So...
